I watched a friend play the new Mega Man today and woah that shit is hard.

I die so much but I laugh inside every time I do. :D The worst boss for me so far is Hornet Man. I figured out how to survive so next time I play hopefully I'll hand him a mega beating. Though right now Mega Man's butt hurts from being mega gang banged so I'm done for today! I'm a little OCD about specials so I've fought every boss so far with just the trusty Mega Buster. Pew pew!

so I played the shit out of Dead or Alive 4 at my friend's house (he bought a 360)

I haven't played DOA in years, so it is like I am discovering it for the first time. OBSERVATIONS:

1. ohay, boobs! I forgot about those (no really)

2. man, the guys are fucking awesome too!

3. THE X BUTTON IS PURELY FOR GRABBING THE OPPONENT'S LEGS AND ARMS AS THEY ATTACK

4. When you use Zack (rich black guy) and Bayman (russian spetznaz guy) in a tag team and use the tag throw, they both basically come out and grab the opponent by the head and feet, swing them around like a jump rope before dropping them, and then proceed to high five eachother and shout ALL RIGHT!!

only thing that bugged me was THE LAST BOSS (goo girl, and maybe tengu on hard idunno) IS A MILLION TIMES TOO ANNOYINGLY HARD it's like it throws fun, challenging fights at you for 7 levels and then MOTHERFUCKING ARGH

but yeah, my new favorite fighting game until Tekken 6 comes out. And then THAT will be my favorite only until King of Fighters 12 comes out on consoles...

Satomi Takasugi - Tears in the Sky is the game's intro song (and in the video) Hopefully they keep it for the US release. No sign of returning characters thus far so this is either in some weird spot in the history (the Fire Rune in the beginning makes me think pre-S1 era with the True Fire) or an alternate universe.

So hoping for the former >>.

In other news, Mother 3's Translation patch is DONE so ... any time now for a ROM release to play this game in English glory. on the game if you're confused as to what this is.

Persona 2: Innocent Sin - The english translation patch has finally been released . I've been waiting for this ever since it was announced that it was headed into beta testing.

I haven't gone too far. Just in the first dungeon right now.

Dragon Quest VIII - Don't you love long fetch-like quests? [spoiler]First I had to escort this prince to the Royal Hunting Grounds, find a giant sized Argon(ian) lizard, kill said lizard whom was a pushover, then head back to Argonia castle to claim my reward.

...What the hell? I just want to go into the goddamned Dark Ruins to stop Dhoulmagus's evil whatever plans for world domination, not have to go do a stupid stop for no real reason at a wizard's place. Betcha when I get there I'll have to go off to another random dungeon or go get something so I can see the wizard, sheesh.[/spoiler]

Levels...I think my Hero is lv25 as is Yangus. Angelo is lv24, Jessica lv23. Something close to that at least.
