I'm with you, Scy. :] It's Castlevania. It's a sidescroller. It's made by IGA. It's going to be amazing.

Playing Etrian Odyssey 2 at the moment. Only on floor 3 and my party is level 10. I think I'm overleveling a bit. >_>

Being overlevelled will make Magic Eye ambushes A LOT less painful. :]
By the way, welcome to the forums!

And, no, it sounds like you are about at the right level. In this game, you do kinda level up a bit faster... but that's only 'cause the game promotes resting and retiring A LOT.

Magic Eyes ate my Ronins a lot until I figured out how amazing VIT was and stacked it until they could survive Tackle.
Also; MOTHER 3 FAN TRANSLATION!
Finally, 13 years after EarthBound there is a translated sequel!

Go download!
I personally own a Japanese copy of the game and, like the rest of the Starmen.net community, won't distribute the rom. Though If you do play it, be ready to laugh and cry, a lot! Good luck! :]
I've been waiting for this for the greater half of my life. @____@

So, how is Kumatanchi? Lots of cute fun? The trailers I saw showed kanji text. Are you able to read that?

VIT is far from amazing >>. It has pretty low Damage mitigation returns (though, really, any amount of extra DEF early on has a relatively big impact due to how the damage reduction scales).
In other news, Dead Space (PS3, 360, PC) is pretty sweet. Bioshock meets RE4 more-or-less. Weapons are fun, game looks awesome (thx HDTV!) and the game is creepy as fuck.
Edit: Also, this game is pretty fucking unique considering it's coming from EA. Seriously, EA? This and Mirror's Edge makes me wonder what is going on over at EA.

Still working on EO2. Finally made it up to floor 25 . . . again. Despite having this game since it's Japanese launch, I've never bothered doing any post-game content. I'm looking forward to trying it out now, however.
Also, Onigiri. I think I'm going to order Kumatanchi heh. Sounds like you're enjoying it so hopefully it turns out to be pretty good

Still playing MOTHER 3, chapter 7. It's been an emotional rollercoaster. One minute I can be crying, the next laughing my head off. This is by far my favourite story in any video game, the music is top notch and the characters are all so lovable.
Except the Ultima Chimera. What a jerk! :[

Bioshock reference is more for the focus on atmosphere; the game does a damn good job of making you feel like you're stuck in this cruiser in space and ... well, you're downright fucked. Doom 3-ish atmosphere (no, seriously, it's dark as fuck) but executed far better and not a "OHSHIT" Silent Hill scary but a "FUCK WHAT CAME OUT OF THE WALL?!" kind. Also, the death scenes are cool (seriously, watching your head + spine slowly ripped out is made of win).
That said, I'd probably suggest just renting it since it's like 10-15 hours long at best (though replays man ... REPLAYS). If you're somewhat remotely competent (on Hard too!) with console FPS, dismembering most enemies is a joke with the Plasma Cutter (horizontal the leg off, switch to vertical and aim for the shoulder~).
Edit: And, yes, developed by EA. Also, the game is BANNED in Japan. The only logical conclusion I have to this is due to the sheer amount of Tentacles you have to shoot in Dead Space and that's like ... Japan's national bird or something.
