So a decade later, this computer marks my first widescreen experience.
Yes. Really.
I have been 4:3 all this time.
Not only that, but to suddenly jump up from a 1280x1024 resolution to 1920x1080...
First time I actually joined a game in TF2 was like WHOA.

:( Scratch that. Cannot play shooters anymore. I incur motion sickness very easily...

Using a 4:3 screen other than my iPad just feels weird and wrong now, after nearly a decade of widescreen. I can't do it.

Newly released cave Story 3D gameplay trailer
Now, I am going on a record to say that I think the 8-bit graphics were much, much better. Especially for the environments.
I was kind of :/ about the trailer until the music began to pick up. Even if the graphics are not what I wanted, as long as they maintain Pixel's standards for quality gamplay, and as long as all of the music sounds this spectacular, then I am all in.

I'm fairly certain nothing changed mechanically speaking; map wise, there were a few changes but they're primarily for repeat visits, not the first time there. I don't know off-hand every single little change, though, as they're all rather minor at best.
I don't mind answering Disgaea questions if you have any, though.
Anyway, rolled a new character for Dark Souls to replace my shitty first character (lol triple hybrid dumb, essentially; primarily Dex/Faith near the end, though, but not enough either to warrant use over Lightning Spear T.T). Going X/Magic for this, though I'm undecided on STR or DEX as the melee stat of choice here ... if I choose either at all.
Master's Key allows for some silly sequence breaking, though. I could've skipped doing Undead Burg entirely and still nabbed killing , , , , and getting the Forest door unlocked. All at SL1 :/

And there's Disgaea 2 for the second time.
Don't think I'll be bothering with the DLC outside the free ones.
Outside Hanako, anything I want is probably going to be on D3. Will be getting into post-game stuff, though, after I get all the characters again.

Cleaned up my PSN friends list a little for those who wanted my Pirates, go ahead and send me an invite. Hopefully it doesn't instantly fill back up (only freed up about 30 spaces >>).
Edit: PSN ID is Scy46 because I bet that would help.

Going to add you because why the hell not, though I might not be playing again until the DLC comes out.

*sigh* So, hearing EVERYONE talking about Dark Souls is getting frustrating. Especially when I think "oh, it can run on XBox 360... I could borrow my dad's" Except that he doesn't have it hooked up in any way to the internet.
*sigh* I keep thinking up master plan sorta idea to try to get the system hooked up (which is kinda funny because I have no fucking clue how to do that in the first place... what does it need a wire or something... why doesn't this thing even have built in wi-fi in the first place... do all Xbox 360's not have it or does his pre-date it). I know he's been looking into getting some $100+ online hub(?) or something like that....
So I keep taking a deep breathe and reminding myself that these days I just barely qualify as a casual gamer. I can't even get through Disgaea... what makes me think I'm going to actually sit and not rage-quit Dark Souls every two seconds? .....
.... -_-; *sigh* the part of me that enjoys EO series and knows that deep down I really do enjoy a good ass-handing once in a while....
*sniffle*

Think the redesigns come with wireless now.
As for Disgaea, it's mostly lots and lots of stat-crunching late game. If anything, they'll give you some good ways to grind easily. How I just beat D2 in less than a week.
