How far are you? just out of curiosity, I'd like to know.


Areas Completed (on my level 43 PKK character):
- Undead Burg/Parish/Asylum (revisited)
- Abyss
- New Londo Ruins/Valley of The Drakes
- Blighttown/The Great Hollow/Ash Lake
- Anor Londo/Painted World
- Duke's Archives/Crystal Caves
- Catacombs (but not tomb of the giants with that La-Mulana bullshit)
- Demon Ruins


I'm probably forgetting some, so for my main I'm just going to mention the only two areas I have yet to explore:

- Lost Izalith
- Kiln of the First Flame

First two are near the final boss fight, SL 30 is up to the Lordvessel I think? and the SL1 character just got to Anor Lando with everything (necessary) up to there dead. Kiln is probably my stopping point if I don't just do NG+ since ... chunk farming.

And, yes, fuck Tomb of the Giants. Fuck it in it's goddamn ear. Catacombs too because why not.

Edit: Nevermind, forgot I took the SL 30 farther than that. Need warping damn it.

you wouldn't happen to know how much damage Great Chaos Fireball does with a normal Pyromancy Flame +15 and 99 Humanity, would you?


Pyromancy Flame + 15
- MagAdjust: 250
- Fire Damage: 40

Pyromancy Flame +5 (Powered up version)
- MagAdjust: 270
- Fire Damage: 60

Off-hand, no, but I can tell you both the Chaos Fire spells don't scale with Humanity despite what their description says. Great Chaos Fireball and Chaos Firestorm are still better than their non-Chaos counterparts though; GCF merely leaves that lava trail that GF doesn't and Chaos Firestorm is a flat out 33% boost.

Also worth mention is that the +Sorcery Damage Ring (Bellowing Dragoncrest) works on Pyromancer spells.

Well, might as well add this then, anything that boosts Sorceries should boost Pyromancer spells (and probably the damaging Miracles too). They seem to all get counted so pimp out the Dusk Crown at the very least.

Also, a maxed out GCF is nearly 8-900 damage if I recall (Crown, Ring, maxed Ascended Flame, etc.) so there's that to keep in mind as well; that's pretty much one-shot territory in PvP, though I'm not sure vs what level of Fire Def that's at. Still, it's pretty nasty.

Edit: Hey, the Dusk Crown! I forgot about that for cool/useful hidden equipment! I guess that would count all the Oolacile spells too, then.

Yeah, with no sorcery damage boosting equips on, GCF does 635-665 damage boosts for me (w/Pyromancy Flame +15). It says that the Pyromancy Flame +15 scales with Int (S), but this character only has 10, lol.

Trying it out at Anor Londo. So far, it's one-shot every Sentinel and Silver Knight I've seen so far. Have yet to try it on those winged demons.

Pyromancy in general scales with nothing but the MagAdjust of the Flame itself (which is based only on the upgrade level of it). It scales with no stat; 1 INT or 99 INT will deal the same damage. The S Int scaling is for the melee attack on it.

Try it if you ever make an INT Caster. Beat on things with the Flame's Heavy Attack. Raise your INT. Beat on things with the attack. Or raise your INT to test the spell damage. Pyromancy is purely based off the upgrade level of the Flame. Which means that there's literally no excuse to NOT always have Pyromancy spells available to you.

It's also how it's possible to SL1 the game :/ Just level the fuck out of the Flame on a starting Pyromancer Class (2 Attunement slots too!). The only bitch of a fight for awhile is Quelaag.

Sorceries (rather, Catalysts) do scale with INT though.

Just PKK'ed someone at Sen's Fortress. They summoned a phantom to help, I used force and knocked em off the ledge XD
