They're not really the type of game to appeal to a mainstream audience. There's no "badass" cool guy generic tough stuff lead characters who run around with a sword chopping up dragons and saving a kingdom. They instead have a much funnier, original approach that makes a mockery of Americans and RPG games in general. Not to mention there's a story that's actually DIFFERENT and a plot I can't predict within the first hour of playing it. The music is nice, too! ^____^

You're talking to someone who loves games like Rhapsody: A musical Adventure, Klonoa, and Madou Monogatari. Who cares about the male tough guy (who tries to compensate for the size of his penis with a huge sword) protagonist? If a game has no real plot, good gameplay, good music, or originality, then I don't want anything to do with it.

(Of course, my exceptions to this include Dynasty Warriors and Earth Defense Force. Mostly because I like to become a one man army and blow shit up from time to time XD)

All of that aside, the Earthbound series just never really "clicked" with me...

After about an hour (total) of gameplay, I'm at the "Toddler" rank, lol.

rofl at some of the Proto Man mode problems. D: He also takes twice the damage and knockback. Not only that, it seems some of the robotmasters are smarter and fast, requiring use of the slide to take them down effectively.

There's a new concept: DON'T GET HIT

That increased knockback makes things scary. Sometimes a boss will hit you and you'll get knocked back too far away to evade the next attack, or that increased knockback sends poor Proto Man off of that teenie weenie platform D:

I went through my old, neglected Super Famicom box a little earlier for no particular reason. I got a serious case of nostalgia, so I dragged out my Super Famicom and started playing through some of the MegaTen titles. Now I'm hooked on Majin Tensei II. I totally forgot how good that game is.

Makes me wonder wtf happened with RONDE, but whatever.

Dang, I need to hurry up and finish the games I have (Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Ring Of Fates, Lunar Knights, Phantom Hourglass, Rhapsody). Too many new games I want to play (My Japanese Coach, Order Of Ecclesia, From The Abyss, Time Hollow, TWEWY, Pokemon Platinum, etc., etc.).

Order of Ecclesia is amazing. Still just starting so I don't have a whole lot to say.

On an offnote I had no idea preorders came with a free soundtrack. Konami always treats their customers with such care and quality. :')
