It's simple. If you offer me three objects identical but for their color, I will select the one that is purple.
My childhood room has purple walls and purple carpet because I got to pick it out after the flooding ruined the old set.
But, yes, I rather like certain color combos more than others. But for an individual color, I like purple.

I've never understood how personal preference on colors works. I mean, how do we decide what our favorite color is? Personally, I like red as an individual color.
Do these look off-center to you? They look a little off to me, but my eyes are bad as it is.
