WHY DO PEOPLE NOT LIKE GLASSES
this is something I have never understood

Mine won't stay up on my nose. I need to get them adjusted. But besides that, it would be amazing to wake up in the morning and be able to see clearly the second I open my eyes. I've had glasses since I was 6, so I barely remember what that's like lol. I don't hate glasses, though, in fact I quite like how they make me look. I just think they're annoying sometimes.

Anyone here with poor vision remember the time they first put on glasses? I remember how my bedroom carpet changed suddenly from a hazy mixture of brown shades to something with texture. I could see all the little nubs that made up the carpet and everything....

and I rather prefer my glasses. The only times I find them to be a bother are swimming/showering.
I'm terrified of the laser eye surgery fucking shit up. With my luck, it would.

While I have glasses, I only need them on the rare days in which I wake up with weak vision. However I do have another kind of eye problem: I am extremely sensitive to light. As a result I really like to wear hoods when I can, or at least find a way into a low-light environments. My specialists all recommend that I wear shades to remedy the problem.
