Changing it up for my reinterest in N1 stuff.
Not Pictured: Pre PS2 and Zetta's face (maybe a strand of book is seen somewhere...)

To celebrate the awesome game that's 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, and my completion of it.

Damn... I still need to complete that game. But it's so good and I keep wanting to play it when I can fully... appreciate it. Not when I'm sitting in front of the TV. -_- where I do all of my playing these days it seems.

What? You haven't completed the game? But it is absolutely super awesomeriffic! I thought you were a fan of visual novels? Shame on you.
Okay, but seriously, 999 is so worth ditching the TV and whatever other game you were playing for a week or so. Just lock yourself into your room, turn up the volume a little so you get the full mood experience, and seek a way out. With your experience with VNs (and Kotaro Uchikoshi in particular) you might be able to get the Safe and True endings without looking up their routes. But do go for the other bad endings first of course.

...never played 999, but there's a copy of it at a console store near to our home. But I don't know about VNs! I tried reading Fate/stay night, but I hate reading on the PC. And I also fell asleep during reading.

Ninten, if you are unsure, try playing the demo
http://www.aksysgames.com/999/pages/demoEdit (forgot to mention):
And Fate/Stay Night will definitely put you to sleep. It's a pathetic formula. Shiro cooks > Shiro fights > Shiro cooks > Shiro goes to school > Shiro cooks some more > Shiro fights > Shiro cooks > Shiro fucks a girl > Shiro fights final battle
The fighting scenes are good. If you can make it to them they almost make the reading worthwhile.
It's a horrible game to base your VN experience on. Try Narcissu, or True Remembrance (both free mini-VNs) and then work on something like Kanon or Ever17.

Maxine - Ah, as expected of a veteran VN player.
Ninten - Definitely give 999 a try. It was my first VN experience, and I'm looking forward to more of the same.
