I actually don't normally have my siggy and my sig-text match. They are usually independent of each other and the quote is just my favorite anime/manga-line, but since this is book material (and not anime) and from the comments you made, I decided that it probably would be better like this. After all.... :3 I'm kinda trying to sell the book a little XD
I want to see the two sequels!! Don't get me wrong, the book ends beautifully (it took SO much not to quote the final sentence from Chihaya) and I'd have never known that there were sequels if it weren't for wikipedia, but now that I know I WANNA READ! T-T
I don't even know if the next books are still about Saya and Chihaya or if they are about others.
You should read it, Kino. It's a little whimsical in nature and Viz was right in deciding to market the book for YA children, but... it really is just an absolutely gorgeous story with SO much imagination. I read the book half way when I was a kid before I was introduced to many such story concepts as a pantheon of gods let alone the Japanese kami-sama culture. So, it really left an impression on me XD - particularly the idea of a god walking the earth.
:3 I found the book after I finished Tolkien by simply typing in sword in a library database. I saw the which even then I thought was absolutely gorgeous and decided to give it a chance.l
