Love Hina, the manga at least, is nothing but a silly harem story. The main character runs a female boarding house, and every single occupant at some point has a WOW HE IS SO COOL moment, and there are at least 3-4 major love rivals besides the supposed TRUE LOVE. Took 14 goddamn volumes and oh god I bought and read every one because I was young and stupid and had too much money and was so enamored with my discount at my SHINY NEW JOB
KKINO I FUKKIN LOVE YOU MAN
Fuck you, I liked Love Hina (Manga)
Though it really could've been over in like 6 volumes.
However, Keitaro does end up being legitimately cool and not a complete loser. He is still a massive "IDK!!" throughout the entire fucking thing though. The two volumes _after the confession_ were silly what with the whole "LAST SHOT TO STEAL HIM BACK but then we'll stop because those two are awesome together" deal.
I suppose it just comes from <3 Naru.
It is explained pretty well...
K9 goes Level 5 and begins to suspect everyone and sees the mundane as "out to get him" instead; he mistakes tobasco sauce in a rice ball and thinks it is blood (the needle was not in there), he misreads Rena and Mion and believes them to be trying to kill him / hide their secret when they're merely trying to not scare him, and he believes the marker at the end is a needle (and even thinks the "Director" as coming as ... well, the "Director" behind the secret and not the local Doctor / coach ["Director"] of the local team).
Those who L5 end up clawing themselves in the throat to die, with the exception of Rika L5ing in Meakashi-hen where she kills herself (Shion tortures her to death in Watanagashi; she does not kill herself like the Anime shows). Hinamizawa Syndrome gives the sensation of an itch that does not go away; they eventually tear open their own throat trying to relieve the itching sensation.
Those were from the anime. Then again, I've read VN synopsises since then so maybe I'm mixing them ... though I'm pretty sure they spend like 2 minutes explaining that in Tsumihoroboshi-hen.
When K9 promotes, that is, and remembers what he did in Onikakushi-hen.
Then again, can 2 minutes really be considered a proper explanation for an entire arc? >>
On that note, Umineko s1 ends soon and Game 6 (Dawn of the Golden Witch) releases in like a week ... so:
No surprises in Game 4, really, barring the heavy placement of doubt of everyone's whereabouts. That is, Kinzo cannot have done what he was shown to have done (I haven't seen ep23 yet but I can surmise what will happen soooo) which really questions how they all got into the Kuwadorian ... or whether or not they are IN the Kuwadorian at all (or even altogether like that).
That said, ep23's preview shows epic long fisticuffs between George-san and [s]Shannon[/s]Gaap so I wonder how the fuck the arc ends next week AND we have Tea Party + ??? Tea Party. wtf? Does everyone die in rapid succession in 23-24?
IS THERE A HIDDEN 25th EPISODE?!
I briefly interrupted what is turning into a months long endeavor to get through Legend of the Galactic Heroes (which is possibly the longest OVA ever) to watch the hour long Mahoromatic special that just came out after the show has been finished for some time. Now... I'm not one to say that Mahoromatic wasn't chock full of fan service in the first place, being a Gainax show that features a robot maid... How exactly can it be avoided? But this special is just above and beyond what I can handle in terms of fan service...
I fear that soon the anime industry's financial woes will drive out people like me in favor of people who are willing to spend hundreds of dollars covering their desk in scantily clad and questionably posed PVC figures.
But shit. I enjoyed it anyway.
