Umineko ep 18 ending - EPIC.

OMG, I actually was suspicious that she could go from being so evil to suddenly so good but it wasn't until they gave him a pen to sign something that I was like "wait.... OH NO!" And then he starts reading and I'm like "shit I fell for it with you, Battler."

T-T But, a tsundere Beato was so wonderful.

That arc was HELLUVA lot more fun, too, since he actually TRIED to refute things. Sort of... actually, I get the feeling that Battler is a horrible chess player.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]George and Shannon better die in the second twilight in Dawn of the Golden Witch. Jessica and Kanon have died in it, Jessica and George have, and even Rosa and Maria died in the second twilight. And even if the second twilight happened in Ep 5 (it didn't, did it?), they still wouldn't have died. Rawr.[/spoiler]

Sailor Moon is the definitive mahou shoujo of the 90's

although it was before english dubs were comfortable showing japanese names to children

No "We're just cousins" bullshit for Haruka and Michiru -- we got the gender-bending lesbian life partner high school prodigies right here. And who can forget the Doom Tree story arc -- it wasn't even aired on American TV until after the entire R series had already finished! That features the ever charming Moonlight Knight, everyone's favorite amnesiac.

:\ So I am caught up with Umineko except the (final?) unaired episode coming out this week.

I dunno. I'm... unimpressed. Like, I dunno. I don't think it's the story's fault. I think it's the anime's fault. I mean, aside from the things you already mentioned, Scy, I just feel that I really am getting a story that had the edges trimmed away and was condensed to fit time constraints. I just keep feeling that Battler isn't playing the fucking game. I want to see more Red text flying around and Battler disputing it. And what the fuck! He's given Blue text and he NEVER USES IT in the anime. It reeks of "sorry, we didn't have the room. We had to make screentime for boob-flopping lolis flying around stealing donuts, and shooting arrows in bunny suits."

I'm going to play the demo and decide if I want to play the VN.

For what it's worth, that wasn't the last episode I was just dumb and thought so thanks to the title. There's two episodes left (Episode 25 and 26) and there's not much cut out from Battler v Beato.

[spoiler]It's more of a he doesn't start hardcore fighting until Game 4's finale; the point of Game 1 - 4 is the development of him into the mindset of fighting against Beato / fighting towards the truth.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]After a certain event, Battler and Beato go back-and-forth involving the "locked room" murders from the first three games. This is like 42542579427 lines of Red Text, Blue Text, and so-on.

So what you're saying is first season is all about getting Battler to get over the fact that one of his family members probably done it and that season two is when the fun is really going to begin?
