There are only 47 episodes as of now, but I'm hoping there are more later. Apparently, the show ended in 2007. But the manga's probably caught up now, so maybe we'll be seeing another one. My guess is you've either seen all of them or are close to finishing them.

To be honest, that episode just left me feeling horrible and depressed. I don't take emotional things very well, especially when bad things happen to women in stories, and I really like the characters in that show. It was unbelievable. I'm still affected. This is exactly why I couldn't finish more than one issue of Saikano...I might have to stay away from this property altogether after the next few eps.

I can't remember the last time I cried during a movie (Up brought me close, but again, it just doesn't happen), and I've never cried during an anime or even come close to it. Geez.
She is so frustrating. Why didn't she just tell him that she had broken up with Takumi? Instead, she just kept saying "I'm sorry." He was even willing to believe a lie.

Though to be honest, Nobu's an idiot too. He was dating the most emotionally unstable character I've ever seen in anything. I don't know why I like these people--they're so dense. >_>
The music in this show is really growing on me. It's not exactly my style, and it took a bit of getting used to, but after hearing it often, I'd like to see if I could find a soundtrack CD.

*sniffles* We're both probably just pushovers noodles.

:3 But then, I've even cried during happy endings. "Nooo!! My beloved characters! I will never see you again! *sob*"

Nah, it's just that I've seen very few animes and both of you have probably seen dozens.

Between Cowboy Bebop, The Big O, Trigun, Kenshin, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Pokemon, and Elfen Lied (so basically, the anime shows non-anime fans watch), there's nothing I can think of that's really cry-inducing. Far as I can remember, those are the only anime shows I've seen, and as far as movies are concerned...well, Grave of the Fireflies was awfully depressing, but we were all expecting that, weren't we?

I'm very bad at handling the simple drama of every day life, or the idea of losing a significant other. These are the sorts of stories that get to me. So, as you can see from my list there, I actively avoid anything that will be too wrenching (excepting Grave of the Fireflies) because it bothers me.

I can still feel sad about stuff. I actually have cried at the end of a video game (Shenmue). But generally, even if fiction plunges me into some kind of emotional depths, I don't shed tears over it. It's different when it comes to real life. My Criminal Law class was not easy for that reason.

Which is why that episode of Nana took me completely by surprise. If I haven't made it completely clear, I DID cry when it was over. Still haven't brought myself to watch the next couple ones.

To find the vids, click on the middle link.

The one on the left is the shorter video. The rightmost links below both pictures are for the embed view, while the leftmost are the ones for the fullscreen. It took a moment for each video to load up, so be patient.

^_^ It's worth it. Watch the longer version first.

I,ve actually shed tears in quite a few occasions while watching anime and lemme tell you right now aside from anime i never cry :) except on the internet i'll leave that to your imagination to put together.
Many things about the kitsune is mercurial, from their moods to their treatment of humans, to even the abilities some possess. Kitsune have a depth of personality as deep or even deeper than those of other Japanese characters. The reason for this, according to one source, is that the kitsune is the Trickster, in Japanese culture. They are there to teach those around them lessons.

On a lighter note:

Man, I am so out of the loop on anime. The last anime I've seen was at a friend's house. Dominion Tank Police. On laser disc. That should give an indication of how long it's been.

I still chuckle at the thought of the "land mines". It's about the only thing I remember. :P

Dominion Tank Police.. I have watched that anime, but I'm not sure I remember land mines. Care to refresh my memory?

Oh man, now you're exercising my memory! :)

I believe it was a chase scene. The bad guys and girls attempt to foil the tank hero by deploying plastic discs behind them. The discs worked liked proximity mines and, when triggered, violently inflated into giant, festively-colored phalli big enough to up-end any vehicle.

That was a silly show.

Ah I see. It was the scene I was thinking of then. I don't recall they were phallus shaped, but it would fit the silliness of the first DTP anime. Did you see the sequel too? It was a bit more serious, and there was even a predecessor of GitS's Tachikoma.

No, I didn't catch any of the others, unfortunately. If I remember, my friend then cued up Vampire Hunter D.

The only other anime experience I've had is watching part of Akira with a college roommate. It was the last half and I didn't really follow it. Pretty crazy, though.

Recently, the closest I've come is buying the soundtrack to Tekkon Kinkreet because I love .

Been meaning to post in here the anime I watch. And when I say anime, I mean it in singular. Only one I really watch now is Bakemonogatari. I really don't have the time or attention span for others right now.
Only other one you could say I "watch", that I am way behind on, is Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Ever since Goku came out, I've been having trouble keeping up with it. Also I haven't been watching it because my favorite character has mainly been turned into just fan service material.... Makes me sad.
