What anime are you currently watching?

xD You did the same thing as me by accidentally calling Shinji Shuji--well, I did the opposite by calling Shuji Shinji, but... Yeah, End of Evangelion really is up for interpretation. the way I see it is this. Shinji became God and he had two choices:

1. Join his fellows in the LCL of happiness.

2. Reject Instrumentality. I think pretty much that whole AU thing is very, very possible, seeing as he might've restarted the world. Basically, I think the last episode of Evangelion takes place during that time Shinji's in his Eva before it breaks free of Lillith. < I prefer this one.

As for Shinji's personality. Okay, I first watched this when I was 12. The fact the whiny boy I was back then found Shinji annoying at times was just bad. XD My mom watched it with me when I was older and she found the whole relationship between Gendo and Shinji interesting. Sad thing is that I do that hand-folding thing Gendo does when I'm discussing things with my friends.

Awhile back, I actually took into account the lyrics of the ending song, and I thought that Shinji actually did what I knew was coming all along: HE ACTUALLY DID IT! HE BLEW IT UP! GOD DAMN HIM! I have the whole series on DVD. First anime I watched the whole series of. XD

Now, for Saikano:

1. I guess the reason I liked Shuji was that he was a very believable male character in many cases. Guys do very very stupid things. I may not have liked how cruel he was to Chise at the start, but he really had EXCELLENT development as a character.

2. The whole plot is beautiful. I have to say. evangelion had mindfucks, but for the most part it was depressing. Everything about Saikano was just adorable. I mean, the whole arc where Shuji worked as a Fisherman was just amazing.

3. I am glad I never saw the anime. My friend said the ending theme was all she really liked from it. XD

Now, do I like mecha? Depends on how the mechs are used. TTGL was a Super Robot anime, but I just could not ome to like it for how absurd it was. It's just overhyped. You want an epic attack: Erupting Burning Finger. You want a good Super Robot? Getter Robo. the old Gundams were good too. It was once Zero Wing hit things went all, "OOOH! PRETTY BOYS PILOTING ROBOTS! SEE HOW SAD THEY ARE?"

also drathi, how have you never met someone who liked Evangelion? That's usually regarded as the greatest anime of all time. That or Bebop.

...Everyone I met thinks its emo. They never even get past episode 2. XP My best friend made it to episode 5.
