Reposted from the Game topic:
Incidentally, not sure where this is more appropriate to put it. New Gundam Anime (Gundam AGE) that is being done in conjunction with Level-5 for a game (arcade card battler and a large-scale RPG) release, merchandising, etc. etc. etc.
Trailer can be found as well.
more like Gundam UNDERAGE amirite?
Meh, Level-5. Anyway, October for the series start no idea on basically everything else.

So three episodes into The World God Only Knows. The OP has grown on me (Elisa - God Only Knows) even if it is gratuitous engrish (and I still facepalm at the "heroine" at the end >>). But, I love every anime song she's done so far (both ef intros, Hayate 2nd Season OP, and the OP/ED of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun).

Though, I'll be honest in that I think a good chunk of the fun of it is from Commie's stylish subbing of it. I know Maria+Holic's intro was more enjoyable to me by virtue of the subs rather than the antics of it.
I really think like 99% of my enjoyment of TWGOK stems from the fact that it's essentially a romantic comedy but without the 17 volumes of unresolved sexual tension. It's basically a few chapter arcs that condenses all of it and gives a satisfying resolution. And then the smart self-aware moments and occasional metahumor.
"Satisfying" resolution to the UST, perhaps, but then the whole memory wipe kind of fucks with things as some of the girls and relationships are quite cute (Shiori's thought bubbles are fucking adorable and I can't wait to see her in the anime eeeee).
Oh and gender confusion modo Yui. Who I'm still like 50/50 torn on...
...anyway, when I have the freetime after TWGOK (and rewatching Bakemonogatari), I'm going to go through Ano Hana, Hansaku Iroha, C:, and I guess contemplating Steins;Gate and Maria+Holic Alive. Got so much to catch up with but I'mma just start with this current season...
Oh boy. I also just realized that Shana 3 (Final) got a confirmation air date for Fall 2011. I have no idea how I missed that. I wonder how the hell it'll resolve what with a lot of the Light Novel stuff being cut out [hide]like, any reference to the Sairei no Hebi that Yuuji possesses that launches into the, what, 8 volume Xanatos Gambit? I mean, I guess parts of it are there since the whole "silver" bit is there but a lot of the internal dialogue that makes the choices Yuuji made make sense were removed so there's a good chance he'll just up and "oops, defected sry but it's cool I love you now die teehee" and there will be mass confusion.[/hide] In retrospect, sounds like an average J.C. Staff adaptation so nevermind.

Well...
Manga spoilers
The mind wipes don't actually work for a good chunk of the cast (5 + 1*, it seems). I don't think the Anime is going to go down this road, though, since they're not getting to the arc that involves the memories returning as a plot point. Maybe. They left in a few of the "lookbacks" from the conquests that hint that they still retain feelings if not fully retain memories.
*There should only be 5 resurfaced memories and we're sitting at 6 possibilities that haven't been narrowed down.
And, after watching the Kanon episode (serious manga spoilers):
So, so, so, so sad this will never be in the anime most likely:
Actually, wait, this means that Tenri won't be in the anime either ... ... ...oh, man.
Edit2: HOLD THE PHONE. YUI WILL NOT BE IN THE ANIME WILL SHE...HE?! OH GOD THIS IS A TRAVESTY AND I DON'T EVEN REALLY LIKE HIM...HER?!
For some reason I just placed Yui's arc right after Shiori when that's just not logical. I'm ... I'm sad. I mean, I accepted Hinoki's arc not making it but now I have to make room in my heart for disappointment of no Yui.
Additionally, Crayon (the broken galge) got a lot of effort put into it for the anime. Wonder if it'll be a Genshiken situation of the "show"-within-a-show becoming popular enough to warrant a release of its own...
Edit: Also, I forgot how <3 Senjougahara (Bakemongotari) was. "Senjougahara fascination" indeed.

Watched up to the end of the Kanon arc of KamiNomi/TWGOK (Episode 7).

Dunno, I just like All 4 You. Kind of surprise they got a, basically, new voice actress (Nao Toyama) to do the voice of Kanon. Figured the idol role would have been delegated to someone with more clout. Then again, she's only for these three episodes ... but she also has quite a huge tracklist in the OSTs.
Anyway, to the episodes...
The whole Citron thing felt ... I dunno. I mean, I guess it helped add a layer of depth to the emptiness she suffered but it really worked as just the background of her being a presence that left no impact and she suffered from that. Adding the "I WILL FAIL BY MYSELF" felt unnecessary since it's only tangentially related to the initial suffering. Really felt more like a way to drag Kanon's arc out into an extra episode rather than letting it finish up in Episode 6.
I suppose the bigger question is what was the point of Elsie's little "trip" around town and meeting Kanon's [s]stalkers[/s]fanclub? To make Elsie not seem ... lazy and useless? But it accomplishes nothing besides wasting some time so maybe they just budgeted three episodes and needed some padding. But, then why not pad some of the conquering sequence instead of this with Elsie?
They also got the bit with Mari (Keima's mother) a little off since she only goes biker-chick-modo with her glasses off and hair down >> Minor but the whole point of the Elsie sequence seemed to be for that and it seemed like an odd detail to miss since that's basically her entire character. Small complaint but it stood out.
Manga spoilers:
I totally freaked out for a second when she was speaking to herself in the mirror. And then it moved to behind her and so-on. Thought they were going to use Apollo (and, thus, the Goddesses) somehow. Then all my hopes and dreams were dashed and I cried in the corner. I guess I just really want the Goddess arcs animated as that's when TWGOK takes off with a more serious plot.
