- Natsume Yūjinchō San (liked the first two seasons a lot)
- Yuruyuri (slice of life)
- Usagi Drop (possibly; I'll wait for reviews)
- Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel (magical girls)
- Morita-san Wa Mukuchi (slice of life)
- Black Lagoon season 3 (liked the first two seasons)
- Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (new Ghibli, although it's Goro directing; it'll probably be next year before it's available anyway)

Yeah, that PinguDrum anime is so vaguely advertised that I suspect it'll actually be pretty bad. I mean, otherwise they'd have come up with a better synopsis/trailer, right?
I haven't seen Gedo Senki, so I don't know what it's really like. I've read enough though to have avoided it so far. Are you sure about Goro not wanting to be a director? I don't think he'd do two movies if he hated it.

Well, Hayao and Goro had a little tiff between them before/during/after Gedo Senki. Hayao didn't think Goro was ready to direct a whole movie on his own, and then the movie kinda flopped/wasn't up to par for Ghibli/mangled the original story much more than necessary. They sort of made up later on though. I haven't heard anything about Hayao being a bad father. It's gonna be super hard/impossible though for Goro to eclipse his father's fame. The best he can hope for is probably that Hayao's fame passes on to Ghibli in general (that seems to be what Hayao/Ghibli are aiming for), and that Goro gets to be part of that, together with one or more other directors.
