Started reading Kurogane no Linebarrel ... and will now probably keep up with the anime. Seems standard mecha but a bit darker (the few deaths in the first volume were ... well, gruesome).

[spoiler]...Kouichi is such a dick. Also, the vast amount of female characters that may-or-may-not throw themselves after him is approaching H-Game levels (seriously ... it's like 1 per Volume).
Anyway ... v5 will probably be a stopping point for the first arc for the anime. Will be interesting to see it animated if nothing else. That said, I'm a bit sad at the Kouichi x Kizaki thing being so ... well, shallow (or, rather, pretty much flips from loathing him to more-or-less loving him in like ONE conversation). That's the only real main gripe I guess ... some of the relationships are just shallow; every female starts off hating him until his one line to them where they instantly warm up and <3 him.
...though, the Kizaki one isn't THAT bad since it has underlying circumstances (...you know, the whole her killing him thing) for her initial reaction but god damn ... she warms up a bit fast even if she was more-or-less pretending to hate him (well, sort of; she did loathe him but not totally! Or something like that).[/spoiler]
Thoughts: If you don't like actiony stuff, just avoid this; otherwise, it's not so bad. Also, if nothing else, Kugimiya Rie in YET ANOTHER ANIME this season as she voices one of the other Factors (Hint: TRAP). A few other recognizable voices as well for pretty much all the leads.
Next: Shikabane Hime and then catching up on stuff I've forgotten about (Soul Eater, Fairy Tail). Oh boy.
Edit: Finished v1 of Shikabane Hime ... uh ... graphic? Also, Makina is cute?
