Male lead of KnL is uh ... Simon (TTGL), Fujioka (Minami-ke), and some others (leads from Princess Princess and Prism Ark I believe). Rie's role this time, from the manga, is pretty minor though to be honest.

In other news, Aya Hirano has a role here as well as well as Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch, Craft Lawrence).

Please Save My Earth - Interesting characters and unique story, but.. eh? Is this thing incomplete, or what? The first five episodes build a good story, that looks to be going to be at least ten episodes long. Then episode six is almost entirely a flashback to one of the characters' past that, while it explains some of why he has been acting the way he did, doesn't complete the story at all. It's just left hanging. I have no idea why this series wasn't completed, as the story is certainly good enough to warrant a full anime adaptation. As it is, I can't really say it's bad, because it isn't, but just, way incomplete.

PaniPoni Dash! is a lot like Azumanga Daioh, only more episodic. And with many more characters. It's a lot of fun, but don't bother reading all the notes. The references are mostly to obscure manga, so if you're not a manga reader, you won't miss them really. The character designs are nice, and the personalities likeable and funny too. The OP themes are some of the best I think. Recommended to anyone who's in the mood for some comedy.

Blood: The Last Vampire - Not bad. At first I thought I accidentally had a dubbed version because many characters speak English (albeit with a not quite natural intonation), but it turned out the setting is an American military base in Okinawa. The story is intriguing, but quite short, and it left me with unanswered questions. I'd say it is a nice intro for the Blood+ series, but on its own the lack of background isn't quite satisfying.

Blood+ - A good series, but it could've been better I think. Ostensibly, the main character is Saya, but I think the 'hero' of the story, Kai, actually got more plot time. That's my biggest disappointment actually, since he's one of those guys you dislike from the second he appears on screen (you can tell from his hair style that he's going to be a 'hero'). He becomes a little more likeable toward the end, but since the series is 50 eps. long, that takes a long time. Two other characters who are actually quite sympathetic are killed eventually; one in the first story arc, the other survives longer, but never gets to play much of a role other than emotional bait. As expected from the length of the series, the pacing is more deliberate than average, which I think is a good thing at first, but toward the end (during the fourth arc, when the eventual ending is made clear early on) I would've liked it to be faster. The ending is satisfying, even though it left me curious as to the characters' future.
Overall, I'd say it is an anime worth checking out.

I'm now watching Nana and Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, with Miyazaki's latest movie Ponyo, and the new Lucky☆Star OVA for some extra variety.

My anime club watches Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan.

Is Dokura-chan really a good anime? I have the opening song as a file on StepMania... honestly it scares me... enough to where I wikipedia'd it and was scared even more and thought it vaguely "stupid". Now I'm beginning to wonder if I'm missing out or something?
