So huh ... Kurogane no Linebarell (Anime) has ... a lot more random fanservice than the manga. I don't even remember much fanservice in the manga outside of the sudden onset of semi-harem (sort of?).

Hina is <3. That is pretty much all.
[spoiler]v8 END is her being absolutely <3 <3 <3. Second season anime goes from end of v6 (Hayate no Gotoku arc) to v7's Valentine's Day story then straight to v8 (STAYING WITH HINA~~~).

I love Kyo Kara Maoh!

Yuuri and Wolfram are so adorable. I reeeeeally want the manga that's just been released, but I sadly lack the funds.

I need to watch the rest of season 2... ;__; It's such an epic series of awesome.

Kyo Kara Maoh reminds me of kya dark lineage just for the fact that both main characters get sucked in another world ( but kya get's sucked in a more normal way). that and they have three words as the title and the first are almost identical Kyo>kya.

Does anyone love the intro song? well the first one atleast, as i said i only have up to the first 15 episodes, i think it's a great intro song it's always getting stuck in my head; but of course that's not a bad thing.

it's so wierd how wolfram is such a guy but he wears a pink outfit to bed.

XD No, I actually disliked the music for the show.

I like Gunter quite a bit, actually. People go ga-ga for Conrad, and Conrad/Yuuri shipping is so popular, but I'm not that fond of Conrad. I like him okay, I just prefer Wolfram, Gunter and Gwendel... those are my three favorite characters.

Ehh... just realized something (Hayate)
[spoiler]Hina Love (ep 48 Season 1) takes place on like March 1st and 2nd (ends on the NIGHT OF MARCH 2nd). Season 2's second arc is Valentine's Day. Huh...what, what.

Even weirder is that makes March 3rd (Hinagiku's birthday) already happen ... so ... yeah. Oh well, anime continuity is fucked to all hell. That and the episode is a weird way re-telling of the events of her birthday but without the cute scene on the tower (love letter challenge to both instead of Hayate's promise to Hina, the whole harping on remembering when they met and the "I will come for you if you call", etc.). Then again, Season 2 OP shows the tower scene in the intro after all and S2 has the Valentine Arc when the promise even HAPPENS. ARGH THIS IS WHY I HATE ANIME ONLY EPISODES AND CONTINUITY AND AHHHH.

Also, the art is pretty and thankfully, despite the ecchi part, it hasn't been that bad yet outside of obligatory cleavage shots. Just hope there isn't a giant harem and it just sticks with the two leads.




Medaka Box, yet-another-ecchi romantic comedy series. If nothing else, I do like the fact that the female lead isn't a weak damsel in distress character (she's supposed to be "perfect" and ridiculously headstrong) and the male lead isn't half bad either (outside of his lack of care attitude, the first few chapters makes it seem that he's just as good as her, if not better).

Though Medaka is "naturally" perfect and I think they're hinting at Zenkichi got to where he is through effort (mostly due to ALWAYS being dragged around by Medaka so needing to be "perfect" with her). It does seem like it'll only be a few volumes long since even early on there's a semi-confession (though the one-shot seemed more closure ... obviously since it was a one-shot).

So, I'm pretty excited about this.

Hrm ... Medaka Box so far (One-shot, c1-3) seems to be more or less: "Super headstrong girl drags guy into student council with her. Antics follow."

Romantic (school life) comedy ...and ecchi? Not THAT ecchi outside of the fact Medaka doesn't really fit the student council uniform (...and the stripping in one-shot+c1). It is far tamer than To~Love~Ru or others like that ... so far. To~Love~Ru was pretty tame early on too so that's not the best judge here I suppose.

Chapter 2 (thoughts)
[spoiler]Is it sad I spent forever on a math part in this chapter? I think it's a grossly bad math error (they probably meant in 1.5 hours flat) since what IS there makes no sense as it puts her unable to catch up and overtake her ... and she passes her up. Unless they're saying her long jump is that amazing (and/or they're saying Isahaya isn't running her best).

The chapter outlines their "relationship" fairly well; or, rather, why Medaka "needs" him. She may be "perfect" but she is "naive" as well; Zenkichi is the one that follows and cleans up and does everything she does not. She acts on what she thinks is right to do and he finishes what she starts. Rather cute.[/spoiler]

Chapter 3 (thoughts)
[spoiler]<3 Jealous Medaka~ Not so much ... furry Medaka. Anyway, showing early on that Medaka is somewhat "normal" in that even she can be jealous over Zenkichi~ Hopefully this bodes well for a LOVE RESOLUTION UPON SERIES ENDING (I'm looking at you billion of other serieseseseses).

Anyway, Zenkichi is better than the average male lead in that it makes some sense as to why there's the possibility of love~ He complements Medaka perfectly, though most of that is probably BECAUSE of how he feels but hey whatever. He works to do what she can't/doesn't, hence his reference to himself as her "insurance." To make sure she she does what she says she will~



That and to make her jealous over token loli apparently.

Though ... he apparently worked on Higurashi (Manga) as the artist for one of the arcs (Himatsubushi-hen) so I suppose that may explain the tone to DOUBT's story.

Hrrrm... it's not that I don't like the art, but... I dunno... it's new and different, I'm going to have to get use to it. That being said however, I really enjoyed the first episode of Allison & Lillian. I'm really looking forward to watching some more. I think the two MCs are kinda stereotypical of what you see in anime, but, that's fine.

But I seriously should NOT have watched a more serious-seeming anime before I watched Haruka's Secret. I think it kind of ruined it for me since I felt "uhh... this is kinda dumb" when I would normally think to probably chuckle lightly at the scenes. Either way, it was not a good combination to watch back to back. For fear of also ruining MariaHolic, I decided to just go to watch some Chi's Sweet Home and call it quits for now.

I think I'm going to love both of those and probably A&L the most as long as it can hold a good storyline together. The kids just HAPPEN to meet this old man who just HAPPENS to have some kind of secret that could end the war who just HAPPENS to get kidnapped that same day after he just HAPPENS to tell them that he has some kind of secret ... well, it really seems kinda slapdashed together. But, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief a little. I'll go with it and see where it takes me.

I just want to see the impression to ep2 of MariaHolic (notably, the OP).

As for Allison to (...) Lillia, I will admit that is one of the problems I had with it.

[spoiler]I won't lie, it'll get a little worse as there's a lot of "REALLY? REALLY THAT'S ... ARGH." It has a lot of "right time, right place" circumstances. Like whoa.

For what it's worth, since it spans over 1 year for the three arcs, I can handle three moments in that year being perfect circumstances.[/spoiler]

Yeah, if anything, I'd suppose Allison to (OKAY I'LL STOP) Lillia would either best for after the others or to be done in full before. It is pretty serious and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and MariaHolic ... aren't. Not. At. All.

Edit: Looking back, I apparently watched Allison & Lilla right before Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, though Kannagi was started in between for a few episodes.

Decided to start on something from my backlog ... which is a lie since I just now remembered about this series being finished and picked it up yesterday ... anyway, Allison to Lillia! First arc finished and I will say the vast amount of coincidences and other "...well good thing that happened" moments were a little over the top.

[spoiler]Also, Episode 13 made me SAD. Shit, I paused halfway through and did other things for like an hour before I finished the episode. Then, I was very happy.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu really liked Shakugan no Shana though, I'll say that. It's the most commonly referenced (real) Anime in it.



Anyway, finished the series (12 episodes) and ... hm. It is oh-so-totally cliche and what-not but, hey, it's a nice "feel-good" anime. For what it is (cliche romance), it's pretty much above-average, if only for the basis of the plot (closet otaku female!).

MAJOR ANNOYANCE AT THE LACK OF A REAL CONFESSION. Hell, they even obscure the view of the first kiss (in the Anime as well as the one shown during the opening ... not like that one counts but whatever). Though, there's plenty of "...I'll be with you forever," type lines for "confessions" but I was really surprised at a lack of a straight "I love you" deal. Hell, there's an episode NAMED that and it STILL isn't said. She also never gets told that he's the boy from her past (OH REALLY WHO SAW THAT ONE COMING?!) Sad

Bonus points for the amount of Shana references though.

Also, did they randomly decide to get all the fanservice for Haruka out in one episode? She's relatively fanservice free throughout the series (barring some "MC GLANCING AT BOOBS" moments). Yukari is the obvious "exists solely for fanservice" character so ... whatever. [/spoiler]

*nods* I... avoiding the spoilers ~_^ I'll read them when I'm done.

And I'll take your advice and watch it in full in advance since I think I will really enjoy the series and I won't want to try to force myself to bounce back and forth between moods, plus that's just not fair to the other two series at all.
