Edit: Jesus, that OP is quiet as all hell. Raise my volume a lot to hear it O.o

Edit: Was simpler to remove it then salvage a post. No one read this anyway~

OH FUCK!! O_O

DO NOT PISS OFF RIKA-SAMA!!

(small spoilers for ep3 of Higurashi Rei)

Discussion on episode 3 (which means spoilers!)
So, Rika can't get back until she finds a fragment that she needs. But in order to get this fragment it turns out she needs to kill her mom. Her mom that she's already given up hope of saving in previous lives. However... now she's faced with the one huge factor that maybe she SHOULD stay in this world? Is this world really so wrong? What makes the other world so right to be in?

Holy shit! When Rika threw that chair at Satoko I'm like "OMG! she's gonna go pull a keichii!! Only with a chair not a bat!!" It really made me kinda smile and feel "yeah, I'm DEFINITELY watching a Higurashi episode."

Next episode: :O KEICHII WAS SHOWN IN THE PREVIEWS!! I know she has to meet Keichii!! He has to be present for this!!
I'm assuming they're following the Rei game (BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE LOGICAL) so ... comment on "small spoilers" scene + a question
Satoko deserved it~

I'm assuming a no, since this happens before Satoko meets Chair and would've been mentioned, but was there a wine scene?

".... Furuderika ... Bernkastel."

I suppose I could just watch it myself ... maybe later.

...everything is always later, huh.
I still cling to the hope that Miotsukushi-hen ever gets animated. Would be nice to see HOW IT ACTUALLY ENDS THAT'D BE COOL.
Well, possibly how it actually ends. Ryukishi07 said he didn't like the Matsuribayashi-hen ending so he did Miotsukushi-hen.
Time to look forward to Umineko no Naku Koro ni~

Edit: Rewatching Allison to Lillia (Ep1) ... we'll see how long this goes on before I decide to watch my favorite scenes only (I say two episodes).
For as "COINCIDENCE?!" as the episode seems, must keep in mind that Wil runs into the old man every day and tells the same stories all the time, though never the "treasure" one. The novels make a bigger deal of the fact Allison "makes" him tell due to being the only one to point out him lying.

...the rest is pretty "well good thing you were there today!" haha. Unless I forgot something which is plausible (hence the rewatch too!).

...I'm never getting around to the shows I need to finish at this rate. And poor Raidou 2 (but I did buy it originally 95% just for Raihou).

Edit: Particular to the series since I picked it up solely based off of Allison's VA and was pleasantly surprised at the quality (marathoned it in one day; started the night before for an episode before sleep, ended up watching 12 >> then did 13 to finale the next morning) of a "based off a voice series!". This and Darker than Black were back-to-back for me and both surprised me at being better than I figured.

Do do do do do ...

Great, she got me to do that do do do thing too. Fucking ...I hate people I know :(

Yes, yes she did deserve it. :( Satoko was one of my favorite characters, but it really does seem that she was my favorite because of the tragedy that had shaped her. I use to feel so sorry for her. But then, you also have to remember, she did create her own tragedy, too, by being the one who killed her parents. But... not quite the same thing since she wasn't in a sane state.

Wine scene? No, there wasn't. Please please do enlighten me.
I'm looking forward to Umineko (that means seagull right... then why the FUCK do I see SeaCat in that word???) as well. However, I wonder if it will be as popular with me since from everything I read - and I think most of it from you - it just seems like a cult thing as opposed to a good-kids-suddenly-murderers. Still... as long as it has the puzzles the mystery and a few good deaths, you know I'm going to be there XD

Saikoroshi-hen (Game Chapter 2 / NOT IN OVA)
When Rika realizes what is going on in that world, she becomes dejected and steals a bottle of wine of her fathers, locks herself away, and drinks herself stupid ("...for I, too, love the taste of wine.") As she puts it, the Furude Rika of that world isn't her (introverted, friendless) yet she is still Furude Rika; she is "Furude Rika" yet not "Furude Rika."

During the drinking herself retarded bit, she decides that this is the case--she isn't Furude Rika but someone else who barged into her life and made it her own; her way of making amends to the life she stepped into is to make a new identy for herself: Furuderika Bernkastel (Frederika Bernkastel), named after the Wine she was drinking to make this revelation.

"So, in other words, it means the only way to apologize to that girl [the Furude Rika of that world] is ...... to not call myself Furude Rika."

The hilarious part to me, which makes me a cruel person I bet!, is that Rika becomes a drunk.

"Now, that wine will console me for a bit, for I can't even spend the days lazily if I don't give my heart a rest borrowing the power of the alcohol.

:O Why did they cut that sorta stuff out!
I kinda wish that they had kept it since it would have explained a little more of Rika's rationale in the scene after the Satoko-beating. When she's talking to the doctor she tells him that she belives the Rika of this world is dead and that she is just and "invader" so to speak. It was kinda a jump and I had wondered how she had mentally come to that conclusion, but I just went along with it. She called herself "Oyashiro-sama's Reincarnation" so it was easy to follow but it kinda felt different since in previous lives she never seemed to make a distinct "this isn't me" difference.

Either way, seeing a drunken Rika would have been fuck awesome.
Huh ... I think they're trying to mock someone here. I'm not sure who. I really don't.

Oh and from IRC last night. Spoilers if you care about the series (Boku ni Natta Watashi)
Oh I do realize starting with that image is cruel.

(OUT OF PLACE BUT FITS THE IMAGE I WANTED)
And, one of her later works, Gekka no Kimi (or as I like to refer it as, "What happens when hot young step-mother stirs up Oedipal tendencies"):

Edit: I refuse to change the pre-tag images (something needs to attract attention) and I'll be damned if I'm going back to the thumbnailing the Hayate stuff as well. I don't care.

Edit2: Oh great, Photobucket's Thumbnail option is dumb...

Edit3 (4?): Hrm ... meh. I'd rather have the images work than not. This is still less than the Hetalia topic so I don't care. Removed the Hayate post to lessen the load.

Meh.

Edit: To be more on topic, Pluto makes me sad. (srsly spoilers)
THEY KILLED ATOM.

AND GESICHT.

WORLD ASPLODE.

Edit: UNKILLED ATOM

Should've been obvious based on A) The mangaka involved and B) Atom's death wasn't vicious like the other 6 (destroyed and ripped to pieces, he just kind of conked out).
Edit: Meh, dumb.

Edit: Valkyria Chronicles (EP 6)
Ellet is now fanservice, I see...

The rest of Squad 7 finally spoke, though they avoided using names (I think only Jann was mentioned) for them. Sad. Marina keeping Hans around was weird ... my image of Marina was a cutthroat bitch to fit her passives (Lone Wolf notably). Edy is still the attention whore Edy (that I adore). I was expecting more from them as a whole though and so far they've been faces in the crowd and silent extras. Dumb.

Oh well. They've pretty much tossed the game direction out the window but I suppose I'm fine by that. It wouldn't make as much sense anyway for the battles to follow the game. At least the anime is making the "easy" battles look easy. Vasel is a simple double rush as is Kloden if you hit it from the side. The only hard part was doing it in the turns for an A rank in the game, really. Doing any real strategy with no care to turns is easy.

Makes me wonder how Barious will look~~ Looks to be getting near it based on the preview.

Speaking of the preview, Jager is apparently a ladies man? Preview shows him having (finishing? starting?) a threesome with either hookers, slaves, or fangirls (though, the fangirls probably have some Maximillian x Jager plans).

That and more Faldio x Alicia nonesense. SERIOUSLY STOP IT I WILL BOMB YOU PEOPLE. THERE IS A CANON PAIRING.
Full Metal Alchemist. Or rather Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Out of all the mainstream anime, Full Metal Alchemist is one I ignored in all forms. I figured with it being redone based on the manga and not a made-up story, it's a chance to at least give it a try. Not enough to say anything yet. Extremely cheesy and typical but I like some of the tragedy.

Ironically, the first two episodes were Anime only ... >>

I'll be sure to complain here about any minute difference that pops up as I follow the series.

And because I'm lame like that.
I don't really get the "typical" complaint. Yeah, sure, it'd be nice to see something 100% original but if you watch/read a lot anyway, there's pretty much nothing typical. They all have some common trait with other stories of that type and the difference lies in presentation and details.

Then again, I'm guilty of pretty much saying that about some anime when I finish so ... I guess I should shut the fuck up.
Oh yeah ... K-On ...

...

Okay, no inFamous today, time to sit down and watch [s]all[/s]some of the stuff I have backlogged. Unfortunately, first up is a non-anime (Fringe) because ... uh ... hrm.
I have no idea why it's up first. Probably because I watched Episode 1 last night. Maybe. Hrm ...

...Hrm...

*head asplodes*

ToraDora first since I stopped halfway through! OH BOY. Plus, Winamp secretly wants me to finish when out of 2000 something songs, it plays that damn Christmas insert 4 or 5 times a day o.o

Though, by that logic, I should also re-watch Gundam 00 since it keeps playing the 4th ED and the 2nd Season insert. Maybe I just pick those out since I like the songs and recognize them though. Who knows.

...or finishing that re-watch of Allison to Lillia.

Also, I wish this was smaller (filesize):
