Also my charter school was (brace yourself for rascism-Zammy) completely biased towards people who were not white. One morning in grade 5, I told a guy who I didn't usually agree with that he looked like crap that morning. Turns out that is racism and it turned into a month-long affair with apologies and written statements and detention. That was one such example. It's like, no dude, maybe run a comb through your hair and wash your face.
But yeah charter school memories... The school was run by groups of awful kids that were supposed to be being "straightened out", I had more homework then than I had until highschool, everything remotely fun was controlled or banned, uncaring teachers that are so bogged downby regulations they couldn't help you if they wanted to, detentions were a weekly thing for me (and I wasn't that bad of a kid, nobody who needed to be there was), uniforms are actually the devil, hour long bus trips there and back, the list goes on and on.

I realized in discarding physical vanity, I had caught a bad case of verbal vanity. I am making good progress in fixing that about myself, and I like it. Do not want to be obnoxious or anything, though I will admit that it is something that runs its course much more over the Internet where it does not matter much, anyway.

I'm pretty happy right now. Sold some books and games yesterday and got about $176 for the lot, which is beyond helpful right now.
I got to sleep in the most comfortable bed in existence last night.
I got to spend time with my family today. :3
Also! Green bean casserole is DELICIOUS. ~D:
Oh! And I finally read the Gordon Korman book that Nessy sent me. It was adorable and I loved it and I was laughing out loud so much that my grandmother asked to borrow it when I was done. XD

Whenever we read those books we burst out laughing every few minutes no matter where we are. A few years ago at Nessy's high school orientation I got dragged along to I was reading Bugs Potter and was interrupting everything with laughter.

Someone, who is the last of my known kin in this place (place as in city/country), is doing much better since our time together last night. She is very sick, and combined with her depression (working on this), she stopped caring and was losing the will to live. It brings me great joy to see her burst out into laughter or reach out to me, and there is comfort in knowing she will hear what I have to say so we can work out her problems instead of just giving up. Between looking out for someone's daughter and my work hours, I am trying very hard to make things work... no matter what it takes.
If she were to go, all I would have left here is my job. Which itself is over next spring, anyway, so I guess it would not be so bad since there is a chance I will be in Seoul or Wigan next year.

Yesterday, Kelly, the girl whose floor I'm sleeping on for the time being, described my laughter as twinkling lights and snowflakes.
This morning, a tall, dark and handsome stranger went out of his way to greet me.

Got 77-85% scores on all the JLPT 1級 past papers I've tried so far. First time feeling like I might pass the real thing on 12/2.
