I wanna return to the US... XD
Finally gonna get a TV in my bedroom (I was against it because I wouldn't sleep at all) to play PS2 at anytime without being too noisy

I just got the N1 Japanese language proficiency test results and I passed!
So as far as Japanese reading and listening comprehension goes I have the highest level certification available. Should help my employment prospects some.

Congrats!

That's pretty awesome. How many years of intense studying did it take you?

If memory serves, he lived in Japan for a while. That accurate, Benkyo?

If his profile serves, he's still living in Japan.

Thanks guys. I lived in Japan for almost 7 years, travelled for a while and am back living here indefinitely. I studied pretty intensively during my third year here, then took 2kyuu during my 6th year here without any problems. After returning to Japan I studied intensively for about 4 months, took the N1 test in December and just got the results.
So, some hard work but mostly just immersion and reading habits.
Unfortunately it's not a free pass for translation work, more like the absolute minimum requirement, so I've still got my work cut out to find a decent job in the field...

Someone recognized my Starman hoodie.
*walking by, set of eyes following me*
Distant voice: Uh... Hey! Is that EarthBound?

^ Ahahahahaha! Adorable.
I am super happy today because of two things. First, I have glasses on the way! YES! Yes yes yes! OMG I can't wait!
Second, I found out that, contrary to what was previously widely believed, I will be able to strengthen the vision in my weaker eye using an eye patch at home for a few hours every day for several months. I was told before that you had to do that when very young (say 5 to 8 years old? Can't recall the exact numbers), otherwise it was just too late. So I'mma be rockin' it pirate style for a while, yo.
ΓΈ . o Arrrr, or something.
