Re: Why Are You Happy Today?
You know how I had kept bitching about my internet being too slow to do anything, and if anyone does ANYTHING else at all, I can't play games online?
Guess what's getting 6 times better for barely a hit on the bill?

Re: Why Are You Happy Today?
I don't see why not.
Re: Why Are You Happy Today?
Got my diploma marks back for the first half of my senior year. They're worth 50% of my overall grade and are therefore terrifying. Anyways, I finished the English semester off with a 70%, got an 86% on the diploma, bringing me to a 78%. In (general) Science, I got a 69% from the class and a 67% on my diploma, leaving me at 68%. My parents won't be overjoyed, but they won't be upset, especially with the "progress" of my English one.
In case I haven't done the rant yet here, I went from an 85% in English in grade 10 and 11 to a 52% in her class with no change in writing style. I worked my fingers to the bone and got a 70% going into the finals. Never worked that hard for a class in my life, only for a 70 in what is usually my easiest subject. And then on a fairly tough diploma marked by various different teachers, I get an 86%. Other students complained about the same with my teacher, but she's new so maybe they're cutting her some slack? It just sucks that some kids went in to that exam with 90's for doing the same work I did, and then also did well on the diploma and I was stuck with my teacher and went in with a lower mark. English is marked based on opinions, so it should not be a standardized test that is mandatory for every university. It's too arbitrary. I'm happy with the mark from my diploma, but not my overall mark. BUT this is the happy thread, and I'll shut up about how stupid our education system is in the English department.
Anyways, I'll stop ranting here. I am pleased with my English diploma mark because it means I was right and my cunt of an English teacher can suck a bag of dicks. Hooray!
