Well, I only got the message so I had no details but my friend told me she talked to the company person over the phone and it sounded super fishy.

If a company is getting you to give up 100 of your friend's numbers, that means that almost nobody is stupid enough to fall for their shit. The fuck. I don't even give out my friend's emails, let alone phone numbers they pay for.

i dont know how anyone gets roped into that stuff when its such a common knowledge thing

multiple times in my life have people walked into a room and been like "yo i just got this sweet job, basically i buy a bunch of knives and then sell them for a profit" and the whole room sighs

People like that are hilarious. They're the kinds who you can tell (via a letter, of course) that if you slowly say "orange" it sounds like "gullible", and they'll try it like 10 times.

I got to meet Lauren Taylor (awesome up and coming MMA fighter) today. AND! I didn't fangirl all over her. SO happy right now.

Double post because double happy. Still riding the Lauren Taylor fangirl high. I got to watch her train in something called a shark tank where she gets in the octagon at the gym and trains against half a dozen dudes with different strengths and weaknesses. Some of them are for takedown work, turnaround against a wall type work, get control of their guard work, kick and punch against a guy wearing arm and leg guard practice... Anyway, if you're into MMA at all, it was thrilling to watch.

Also:

- I got to see my family today and yesterday.
- I got to eat super tasty food today.
- I'm looking forward to my new extra roommate at home.
- I'm riding a Greyhound bus with wi-fi.
- I don't have to stress over driving.
- Someone whose opinion I have long valued thinks I'm "the god damned coolest."
- I've been on another optimistic upswing lately and have been working on outlining some real, tangible goals for the near future.
- I've been reading a lot more.
- I'm currently the slimmest and fittest I've ever been and I anticipate that only improving from here.

Overall, I am one happy little clam.

Got a haircut. Feels so nice.

Last night, after dinner, myself, my older brother, and two of our friends were drinking in the basement and decided to turn on Omegle, which is something we often do when we are drunk.

Typically this results in us seeing a lot of surprise male genitals, but NOT THIS TIME. (Well...)

We came across a young gentleman who was currently working at a research facility in Antarctica who happened to go to one of the universities here in Washington. And it turned out he knew many of the same people as us. So that was fun.

Also I read some Gatsby this morning. So that was good.

Just finished watching One Piece Z (the movie, not some OP/DBZ crossover). Man, the animations are good!

8 hour livestream, whoooooop! Are LPers as big overseas as they are here? Some of our Germans ones have more-or-less professional weekly streams in cooperation with a TV station (or whatever it's called).

plenty do get enough views to make money off of their streams and youtube videos (like the Game Grumps for example) but if you literally mean a TV station then none are THAT big (there used to be a channel dedicated to video games, but it slowly lost all of its game programming and eventually went off the air)

Oh I know that they can live from the ad revenues, I was just curious if you have something similar over there. Like, our "biggest" LPers have their own weekly livestream which is done rather professionally, two of them were invited to a popular late night TV show, and there's several longer livestream specials that happen occasionally. Might just be Germany trying to be "hip and trendy".
