On the matter of gold/loot.
With Pathfinder, we have a communal hoard type system. We've discussed splitting things individually, but have decided time and again that the communal system works best, we just have to keep it fair. So if we generate 18K gold as income during the kingdom building, that goes into the royal treasury. We then will buy equipment or magic items and needed using the treasury money. Whenever we find monster loot after a campaign, it's divided up based on need, or sold if no one needs it.
Although recently the team decided to empty nearly the entirely treasury to buy Deneb, my character, a Circlet of Intelligence +6. It makes her insanely smart. Like, ridiculously smart. The DC for one of her Fireballs is now 24. She gets a bajillion spells her day now, too. That's in addition to the Staff of Fire they saved up and bought for her recently. Sooooo >___>;; there's my bias.

.
It's fun to see people make things like that.

Unrelated, but I think your avatar/signature set so utterly disturbing that I'm scared to read your posts.

To be honest, I was about to do a Weeping Angel and that one SCP that does something similar. I couldn't find the GIF of the former. Also no one clicks my sig, the video there is very fun to watch.

So, um... I'm thinking of making my Ranger a Horizon Walker instead of a Wolf Lord, when I get the chance. XD I'm just not big on animal companions and the class seems a bit more true to my character.

So, the DM approached me about making a character-specific quest for our campaign. Basically, we're using Eberron despite him not liking it much. He said that it would allow for something to give our characters a reason to leave Eberron.
Assuming my character survives this quest, he's basically returning to the Mournland (Old Cyre) against his will. The DM and I decided that we're going to reveal that his parents indeed did escape the explosion and are living elsewhere. So, assuming they survive, the plan is to go to wherever they are and have more adventures there.
Problems:
1. My ranger is terrible at combat.
2. The Mourland nullifies healing magic.
3. ...Lord of Blades...
The DM and I were talking during lunch about the Lord of Blades and when he said they were like Golems, I jokingly proposed the idea of having my roommate's half-orc wear stone armor then have my character wear it, while sitting on his shoulders, and negotiate. If that ever could actually work, I would probably have made a mockery of one of my most feared boss monsters, at this point. xD
4e makes the Lord of Blades ridiculous, from what I can make of it.
@_@ It's my first campaign, so I do have lots of room to improve.
I'm also looking forward to the new character who hopped in with the focus on Cyre right now is because another character is joining with the hopes of being a Cyran Avenger. This should be interesting, because my character pretty much thinks that finding out what blew Cyre up and seeking vengence won't bring Cyre back. >_>;; It's also going to be interesting because the avenger is 15. My character was in the army when Cyre was blown up, while his probably witnessed it first hand as a kid.

@stat rolling
We use roll 3d6, re-rolling 1s and 2s. I rolled an 18 for Deneb's intelligence and the rest of her stats are pretty crap. Having shitty saves, since Intelligence is just about only good for spells and skills, is annoying. I've had to take Good Fortitude and I'll probably take Iron Will at some point, because having a 4 modifier to a Fort save is just fucking terrible.

That reminds me that I need to get Improved Initiative for my Ranger. XD He has no Initiative right now.

Yeah, I took an initiative-related trait. It's a 6, which isn't too shabby. I like to get an early initiative because, as a Witch, I'm often throwing out debuff spells and area effects that are most useful before the melee starts.
