Monsters in 4E have impressive Armour Class scaling.

So, we had the first session of our Homebrew campaign today... And I just proved how much of a badass and sick guy my character can be. xD I oneshotted the first mob by double-critting (20 for hit and 20x2 for critical damage). Then I overkilled a monster with 80 HP by hitting him for 145 damage, and then...
Well, complex actions I took:
1. Against a robotic redneck, Cider forced his mouth open and urinated for the first time in 100 years. It had to be done in the next 3 turns and the enemy was knocked down, so... xD
2. Killed a goblin with a Fatality-esque attack (ripping the head off and beating the body into a puddle of blood.)
3. After the catgirl of the party cut a whitebelt's leg off, my mage offered to cauterize the wound. He put his hand on the stub of his leg and then using a fire spell that does slashing damage.
This whitebelt was just brutally murdered by our prty and I had the option of taking some limbs. First thing I took was his face. Now, my party has nightmare fuel forever. Then I gave Cider a third arm on the back of his neck that can reach over his head and behind him.
Due to being essentially our party's tank (despite the DM's best efforts, my defense is absurd for a mage. xD), the DM had every enemy aim for Cider's FACE. Giant scorpions stung him multiple times and had a faceful of buckshot.

^ Aww, and it was a brand new face, too.
4E doesn't really do squishy casters so much. Several magics are fueled by stuff like Constitution. A strong summoner is only a soft target because its massive hit points are spent on summons.
Warlocks can be fucking tanks.
Edit: Swordmages don't count because they're explicitly arcane defenders. Though they use lightweight armour. And laugh at mundane shields.
Edit: Well, Jedi I suppose.

I think that the DM said he took what he liked from 4e and 3.5 and combined them for the homebrew. I basically have high intelligence and wisdom with just really good armor. xD
EDIT: Also, the DM suggested gooing Spellblade. I actually might take that up, but I wanna change my specialization to scythes. xD They can probably work as both a staff and a scythe.

Pathfinder session tonight was awful and I have a very hard time gauging my players interest. Makes me feel really bad about my DMing ability when I think a session sucked/got no where.

...I like the template that my DM used for his homebrew. xD I might need to tweak the stats, but I'm working on something simple right now. Basically, the homebrew I'm attempting to create is EO meets MH. You have your job class, but also your weapon class.
So far, the only one I think might be broken is the Great Sword. xD I might have to take its initiative down even more. It's perk is that it's just pure strength.

I think that you won't get any skills beyong "Semi-Guard" until Master Rank with that weapon. xD It's just raw power.
The DM I'm playing under gave me some advice, which is to at least finish a campaign. However, I'd forget everything by the time that came around. Plus, I can make adjustments as I go. xD
Basically, I am really going to screw with you if you fumble on your starting weapon rolls.
Here's a list of the crap weapons:
Sword and Shield:
Greatsword:
Lance:
Hammer:
Ranged:
...you can see the MH influence miles away. xD When the DM saw these fumbles, he was proud, but at the same time muttered, "Remind me to never admit to fumbling around you." However, if you crit, you may start with an MH weapon. You get the Azi Dahaka and Meteor Cannon for critting with SnS or Ranged.
EDIT: Well, I found a way to make the weapons not as overpowered. xD
So, instead of a D20 for your starting stats, I'll make you roll a D10 for your stats and a D4 for level ups.

Meet , my zombie's adopted daughter/apprentice. She is an Ice Elementalist, meaning I can only teacher her 1/3 of the spells I can learn. She's also going to be used for character farming as the DM is planning on killing off my character with a Regulator (monsters who go after players that get too powerful).
Characters apparently mature at 10 years old, so by the time of the next campaign, Vodka will be 10--I set the timeskip standard. xD Apparently my stats also affect her puberty. The only example I was given was that high stamina=bigger bust.

Yep...
Also, I think I figured out a way to sort of give a reason as to why the weapons are stupid-strong.
Your stats are absolute shit without weapons. xD You basically roll a D4 for your starting stats, add your race mods--Dwarf +5 STR, Elf +5 DEX, Human +1 in any 5 stats you wish.
