That or explosions. I've blown up more things than I could count. xD

Unless you're using explosive arrows, like I do. xD The only time I did massive damage with a single arrow was when I used an explosive arrow to blow up a gas station that was out in the open of a military base...

Hate double posting, but it really felt strange including it in an edit. My roommate is starting up a new 3.5e Campaign for us to do, so we can retain our sanity when we're raging about our other DM's stupid system.
So, my new character is Londo Bell, a human Commander of Gate's Pass's Resistance. We're starting at level 2, because my roomie said he wanted this to feel more heroic than a fight for your life (it's difficult, but not as hard as it would be starting at level 1.).
I can't scan my sheet in, but here are my stats and other crap. Tell me what you guys think:
And the reason I have so many skills at rank 5 is because Commanders get a crapload of skillpoints at first level. It's 6+Int Mod x3 at the first level and 6+Int Mod for every level afterwards. Then I got some extra points for being human, giving me a total of 37 skillpoints. XD
The Commander class is sooo awesome... There is one skill that lets me command anyone once, per battle. So, even if it's my enemy, I could possibly convince them to just kill themselves or turn on their allies.
I just gave Londo a pair of longswords--one for main and one as backup. He also has a light horse, which I named Bucephalus, to help give him more mobility and facilitate travel.

I'm pretty sure you did some math wrong. Your skill points should be divisible by 4. (Actually 5, unless the x3 at first level is a house rule, which my previous sentence assumes.) 36 points, to be precise.
Oratory.
Bucephalus is actually the name of a villian's horse in a superhero campaign I play in.

Huh, maybe my friend and I overlooked something. And no, the x3 is not a houserule. So, it's Int Mod +6 x 3. I have 14 int, which is a +2 mod. So, that becomes 24 Skill points at first level.
At level 2, I just get 8 extra, which brings me to 32 points. It might have been the extra skillpoints recieved from being human that threw off the number. Other than that, I have no idea.
I just went with naming my horse after Alexander the Great's horse. XD
Looking through the commander skills, I do think this class is more than a bit broken at higher levels. Let me see if I can find a source that gives you an idea of what my class is like in 3.5...
EDIT:
http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Commander_(3.5e_Class)
And this one is even more broken than the one my guide gives me...
Also, I checked the human race descriptions and yep... It was the extra SP from being human that threw you off. I got +4 SP for being human at first level and +1 for getting to level 2...

Huh... the PDF I got says different. When he gets back, I'll ask my roommate why this is. The skills and feats listed on this site are different too.
Well, Alexander is a historical badass... until he drank himself to death. xD

Honestly? The PDF is probably typo'd. Or they phrased it very poorly. Every other 3.5 (and 3rd) class I've ever seen was x4. The way that max skill ranks works even assumes that you get x4 at first level. I really don't know why the core didn't just say, "You get 4 times the normal skill points at first level." It would have saved themselves from having to say it for every class.

^ 3.5 is many things, but not streamlined.
Alex had a huge horse, though.

Huh... : /
And yeah, I don't count of Bucephalus lasting forever. But I do have a question. Who's AC do I go off of, during mounted combat? Mine or my horse's? I got better AC than my horse, so...

I'm pretty sure you use yours and your horse uses its. You do count as being in all 4 of its squares, though. (Doesn't affect AC, but worth noting.)

So, the x3 was a typo, my friend found out, and so we adjusted my skills. So, now I have Rank 5 Ride and Rank 3 Survival. I'm going to be working towards having a Horizon Walker (I just love the concept of that class)/Commander. The nice thing about Commander is that it's more or less just something to expand your class with. There are different types of Commanders, so most DMs don't give a multiclass penalty if you're a Commander and something else.
