My group showed interest in participating in the orc/human war I have had going on in my world, but I didn't think having them literally fighting in a war would be any fun. My solution was I sent them on a mission from the king to take out an orc camp and a general in the orc army. Most of the group took out the hordes of orcs and bigger orcs, and our rogue and an npc used a lightning lance from an earlier campaign to kill the general as he put on his armor in his tent. Inside they found a map to a tower not on any map of the kingdom, they will journey there and investigate next session, and potentially turn it into a home base if they can take it over. Inside the tower is a huge underground dungeon that can be used for another campaign and works into some other story things I have going on. I'm really getting the hang of this overall, but man can the players mess me up when questioning rules.

I wish dropping a summoned Celestial Baleen Whale on an enemy party could be done. ; o ; Stupid terrain requirement...

Being Neutral Good never seemed so cool until I saw that summon. I CAN SUMMON ORCAS AND TRICERATOPSES AND SPERM WHALES. I DON'T NEED ANGELS.

They all wanted to be dudes. Whenever I put a female npc in the party half of them hit on her until she leaves. Guys.
