and sampson, alt + 130 makes é, so remmé takes about as long to type as elysienne if you are good at jerking your arm over to the numpad

@Kimiko - really? For every keyboard I've ever used (even the ones at work) the Alt key on the right hand side of the spacebar is Alt Gr....

I learned Alt + 0233, not 130. Both work, I guess.
