It's a very tough decision. It's Sarah Lawrence College, which is one of the top 30 MFA programs. The faculty there is just incredible, and it's like a 6-to-1 faculty/student ratio, plus there are biweekly conferences with faculty. They emphasize getting to determine your own interests so that you get the degree you want. Plus the location, for writers, if phenomenal re: networking. It's also NYC, which is expensive, and the degree itself would cost about 50K for tuition. That's a lot of debt. However, we don't have student loans from our undergrads, which puts us ahead of the curve in a way, and my fiancé has a small nest-egg grad school. Other perks are that one of my best friends is applying to Law Schools in NYC... so, roomies and friends and stuff. (And of course placing me within visiting distance of Maxine!)
The two Minnesota schools are not as highly ranked. Moorhead is actually in Fargo, North Dakota, which is a surprisingly good location except for the cold. The cost of living is low, and I could transfer within the company my current position at the Fargo or Mankato stores. Mankato is similar but a bigger school and smaller town and higher ranked (of the two). However! They interviewed my fiancé for teaching, and if that comes through than, yeah, that pretty much seals the deal.
ANYWAY! Sorry to bore you, but everything is so exciting.
And, yes, Vancouver would have been nice, but that was the first rejection we received. Also rejected at North Carolina Wilmington, Brown University (Providence, RI), University of Alabama, and The New School.
And if New York University calls, gameover. We'd be fools not to go there.
Oh, and that third job noodles mentioned I acquired? Today they filed the paperwork for my promotion. I'm going to be the part-time Assistant Manager. Promotion comes with a nice raise $$

Yeah, I didn't see any place to introduce myself, but looks to me that this is possibly the best place to do so.
Hello everbody. I have been an Etrian Odyssey fan ever since I bought a used copy of the first game at some game store I don't remember in January. Annnnnd.... yeah. That got me hooked at all the customization the game offered and I'm really fond of a game that allows you to go your own way. And as it doubled as a dungeon crawler I loved it because it reminded me of the old days! Then I got the second game after getting past Deep Jungle in the first and I'm still playing through that to this day. Now by browsing such websites as Into the Labrinth I figure out there's a third one coming up, and that just made me happy.
