Ah, jk. Welcome to ItL. I'm thinking of doing something in the arts as I start grade 10 here. Not an academic by any standards.

Don't feel discouraged about those job prospects! Lots of people have "day jobs" to pay the bills while devoting all of their spare time to what they really love. I know a guy whose passion is music... He has a full time job at a call center, a side job as a writer for a gaming website, AND he has a successful band that has actually seen a few tours. He seems really, ridiculously satisfied. Busy all the time and tired a lot, but happy.

Yeah I know all about the day job gig. I work for a large retail chain. I am currently trying my hand at 2d animation. But that may be more of hobby. (and it's time consuming.)
