We have had little in the way of insectoid nuisance this year. Aside from preemptive control such as dousing the city perimeter with larvacide, the major parks have all seen a forcible increase of natural predators. And by that, I refer to the city rapidly breeding dragonflies in a confined environment.

Hmph. You are presumptuous as you are foolish and naive.

It may seem "coool" now, but this is only the beginning of the end. Soon the numbers of the dragonflies in the city will grow at an alarming rate, causing a significant imbalance in the ecosystem. After completely annihilating their prey, they will grow in numbers too great to find sustenance. They will reach such great density that the sheer brute force and numerical advantage will be enough for the dragonflies to attack larger and larger prey, further tearing apart the equilibrium set forth by the great mother.

With all of the pollinators disposed of, botanical life as you know it will cease to exist. If humans have not yet died from starvation... unable to grow any crops or sustain stock animals, will be vastly outnumbered by malicious, disease-bearing, dragonflies that have evolved with immunity to our chemical insecticides. After feeding on radioactive waste and raiding human collections of knowledge and information, they will rapidly evolve to colonize the world as an advanced dragonfly humanoid race, and Winnipeg will be their base of operation.
