I have returned!
I'll have to tell you all about my trip later. It was pretty wild. Highlights include pretending to be a barrel-racer, only instead of barrels I used hay bales, and instead of riding a horse I drove an off-road golf cart at top speed through a field. Also made a small fortunate playing penny slots at the Indian casinos, murdered the shit out of a couple of crab-apples with a Marlin .22, and bought myself a pair of black combat boots, thus completing a twelve-year quest to become Daria.

Hi all thought i'd introduce myself, Found this place after inquiring into Etrian Odyssey, but mostly being struck by the beautiful doujin music and artwork. Probably a big of an old git around here but thought i'd register and see what the community is like.

Yes, AFAIK I'm the oldest around here. I'm 35, 36 in two weeks. So you don't have to worry about being too old for this forum for at least ten years yet.

Mostly US, with several Canadians and a few Europeans. We're a generally odd and delightful mix of peoples.
And 26 isn't old. That's my age, after all :3
Apparently I'm quite the baby-face though. At the casinos this past week, they'd let the two boys go in without so much as a second glance, but I'd get ID every time. One of the security guards even stared at my ID for a long time and told me, really bluntly, "You look young. They look old enough. You don't."
I wasn't sure how to react other than smiling nervously. I mean, I'm 26. It isn't like I'm just turning 21 or I'm 22 or whatever. and one of the guys I was with is 8 days younger than me! fffff
And 26 isn't old. That's my age, after all :3
