Eight serious posts in a row is when you should start to suspect pod-people involvement.

Ok, my next 8 posts are going to be serious.

I am planning a sort of sabbatical from technology. It probably sounds silly, but I really need it. I've been thinking about how I used to fill my time before cell phones and the internet, and forcing myself to take a break from these two very addictive things will help me a lot.

I'll miss being on ITL multiple times a day. I really do <3 you guys. I think I'll put my laptop away for two weeks and only check my phone ONE time a day for emails and texts, and limit that to half an hour. I'll make an exception for Skype/phone calls because I generally only get one phone call per week anyway, if that. If any of you would like to stay in touch during that time, now's the time to PM me your phone numbah or Skype name so's you can check in. I'll officially start in a day or two.

Expect texts, and good for you. I did no internet for a month last summer, and it was tough.

I have no idea who you are, but your bravery shall never be forgotten by those of us too scared to undergo such a challenge! May you come out of it triumphantly, as a better person, and with a bit more money in your pocket because you didn't spend that much money on texting and stuff. And use that money to treat yourself to a pizza!

I didn't use internet at all until I was 18..

Of course, that was because it wasn't available :þ

Decided to switch it up a bit. I'm going for 30 days, and instead of checking my email daily, I'm going to check it on Sundays only.
