Uh, hello everyone. I've been lurking around these forums for a while now, so I decided I might as well sign up and introduce myself. I got EO1 a while ago and have been enjoying it immensely; I love the class and skill system, I love making my own maps, and I love the challenge. It's been a while since I've played a game with so much thought put into its design, too. If the later games are as good as the first one, this may be my new favorite video game series.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say "Hi". I'll probably post a topic in the EO1 section asking for advice on building teams here soon; I'm guessing you probably get newbies asking for advice all the time, but still, I'd really appreciate it if some of you could help me out. It's nice to meet you all and I hope we can get along.

EO1, as in the original N-American version? That's supposed to be pretty rare nowadays. Or EOU1? It's not the best remake, but it does have several things that make the game easier to play.

Yes, I have the NA version of EO1. I bought it on Amazon for $20. I didn't realize it was supposed to be rare.

Welcome to the boards! IMO, I think the later games in the series completely blow away the original. EO1 is very charming game though.
