CV4 has the best controls in any CV game ever. It's not as crippled as, let's say, Dracula X. (Which was also a terrific game even if butchered.)
And yes, Ninten has come far.

And of course, even if it had standard whipping, it would still have the best controls thanks to epic moonwalking, which paired well with the excellent soundtrack. Also, Simon Belmont is good Belmont.

A racing game that was most fun when not actually racing, and just driving around the excessively large environments.
