Hmm, that sounded better than the Nujabes stuff you posted before. Still not completely my cup of tea, but I wouldn't change the channel for it, if you get my drift.

Sa. I understand. You can tolerate it, and even enjoy it, but you are not likely to play list it or go out of your way to hear it. Nujabes is definitely not for everyone.

With any of the songs that have rap in it, I honestly prefer the instrumental versions. It is not that I am incapable of appreciating rap. It is poetry in its own form, and at least they are not singing demeaning lyrics about women, sex and violence. It is simply because I came into this as someone who prefers easy listening, with just enough energy in the melody to keep that head bobbing.

A lot of his other work is what others would consider brain damage. A different kind of brain damage than, say, metal, where it is just way too loud and crazy for my likings. This kind of brain damage is more like one's head being gently blended into a smoothie. Basically the same kind of goodness I feel when I listen to trip hop. After Nujabes, I suddenly appreciate jazz much more than I had in the past.
