The best OST he's done in the past few years was for Star Ocean 4.

And even then it was OK. Nothing special.
Which is sad because Sakuraba is one of my all time favorite video game composers. I'd kill for him to compose something as great as the OSTs for Star Ocean 2 or Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Hell, even Mario Tennis (N64) had a better OST than anything he's made (outside of a small handful of songs) for some time now :V

Don't get me wrong, I still think he makes good music. It's just that the stuff he's pumping out nowadays doesn't sound NEARLY as good as anything he used to compose. Star Ocean 4, Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria and Covenant of the Plume, Golden Sun Dark Dawn, [Insert Tales Game Here], and even Dark Souls (Q_Q) failed to have very catchy/memorable OSTs.

Though I've yet to hear the OSTs for Mario Tennis Open or Beyond the Labyrinth, so there is still hope.

Out of the gazillion Golden Sun Battle themes, Felix's is by far the worst in my book (though it still sounds better than anything in Dark Dawn).
