I prefer the SNES versions of most of the songs (especially Spark Mandrill, Boomer Kuwanger, and Storm Eagles' stages), but these Genesis arranges for chill penguin and armored armadillo's stages sounded fantastic.
Maybe it's because I prefer FM-synth, or maybe it's because the SNES' sound chip is crap. I dunno =/
Some of the songs sounded extremely similar to the SNES versions, like this one:
