Hmm, rather too jazzy for my taste.

I'm a sucker for any type of jazz in games, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this battle theme. Though the in-game version is slightly less jazzy, if that makes you feel better.
Hell, the battle tracks were one of the few reasons I kept playing Fate/EXTRA at all.

Re: Music you're listening to atm?
I haven't kept up with symphonic metal for a few years, but today I checked out Leaves' Eyes again, and I must say that I'm interested to hear more:
A cover of an old song by Mike Oldfield/Maggie Reilly.
A very good rendition of a traditional British ballad, probably best known nowadays from Simon & Garfunkel's abridged version.
I was surprised to find these two older songs among Leaves' Eyes' tracks, until I realized that they're the same age as me and probably heard them when they were children.
Has a slightly different sound from their usual style I think, but not bad at all.

Doesn't this remind you of something from Chrono Cross? One of the battle themes I think.

Re: Music you're listening to atm?
I've got Phantom Brave! My brother gave it to me for my birthday last year. : 3 It's adorable. I'm not very far in the game, though.
Gods damn Falcom and their amazing music. I can't stop listening to the "Best of Falcom" mixed CDs my friend Tom gave me a few years ago. Urge to re-watch Ys Legacy is also rising.
EDIT:
Sweet. Baby. Jesus.
