Well I don't think you can say much has truly revolutionized Western civ in the last 50 years, with the distinct exception of the internet.

Other than that we're sort of sitting around waiting for the next big revolution (and it must be the green revolution or else we will die)

I mean not when you look at the big picture of things. Yes I have a computer small enough to balance on my lap, but it's still just a computer.
