To be honest, I wouldn't. Or, if you do, try to divorce yourself from real-world politics as much as possible. Ender's Game is his tamest title in terms of his political agenda but it still bleeds through if you look for it.

And the only reason Left 4 Dead was great was the AI Director being a complete tosser so it built tension by virtue of that goddamn sound. Plus, having people in the room/headset screaming like little girls.

Apparently the second one loses that darker, freakier feel, which is too bad. That's my favorite thing about the first one.

@Scy - You raise a very good point. It's only recently that I've begun to pay attention to where my money is going and who it's supporting when I spend it. Not that I track it in a paranoid way ("tinhatting," as you aptly named it). I am just a little more aware now than I was before.
Does it count as lining the author's pockets if I bought the book used for about a dollar? < <'
