Well I'm not the one to make a review that'll make it sound interesting. Since it's in the First Person view, certain parts may seem a little unreliable, and both setting and battles are a bit glossed over which sounds a bit odd, but the main character is a soldier which makes it sounds more like just reports, and it's more focused on characters than anything. Speaking of that, it's not really a all out fantasy so to say; You're not looking in the eyes of the villain, or the maybe slightly better rebels, just the mercs who have their hidden pasts and occasionally die.
So yeah, not very good at wording how I feel about it.

shit, there's a book with gay fairies.
I can't think of the title though.
Otherwise there's that 13 Treasures/Curses series, but it's Young Reader. What's it called... um, geez, there's a teen book about a queen of the Fae... Nightlight? Nightice? It's a silver and purple book.
Give me some time, I'll think of some.

I saw one or two, plus I know Ginn Hale is writing one now inspired by Shakesperean faeries: Blood Under the Throne.
I excitement.
Anyway, seems like the majority of fae/fairy rich fiction I've found is YA stuff.

The number of books I'd like to review has become enormous. I'd like to touch on them here, but probably not in as much detail as those I before.
I've also got both Melusine and Strange Fortune on the way, and Blameless and Heartless coming soon afterward. Books ahoy!
So far I've covered almost all those Kino recommended to me except Swordspoint and The Fire's Stone. I've also enjoyed Wicked Gentlemen, The Lord of the White Hell books One and Two, Soulless, and assorted non-fiction. And I think Ginn Hale has taken my heart.

There are 2 more Tony books if you liked Smoke and Shadows. The next two are Smoke and Mirrors (haunted house!) and Smoke and Ashes (demons!).
I finished reading Clash of Kings and have started Storm of Swords. This bitch is 1183 pages long, mass market, and fuck is it physically hard to hold and read. I'm half-tempted to rip the bastard in half to make it easier on myself, but even though it's a stripped book I can't quite bring myself to do it.
Also, the fact that you have Melusine on the way makes me squeal. You'll have to let me know how you like Strange Fortune, btw as it's on my list.
Once I finished the George R R Martin books, I've got Wicked Gentlemen and Lord of the White Hell lined up, along with a hefty backlog.
