Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
As for OVERVIEW. :3
Son of Neptune is part of the Heroes of Olympus series, which is the sequel series to Percy Jackson and the Olympians. And if you don't know Percy Jackson... what are you? Living in a hole? ^_^
Lost Stories is the 11th and final installment to the Ranger's Apprentice series. It's actually not a novel (I think) but just a collection of short stories that the author has written to answer a slew of fan questions he received. A sort of kiss farewell and a "thank you for reading" to his fans. (But :3 his next series is set in the same universe. I wonder if it will be set in the same timeline? gaah! dunno!! dunno!! Either way...)
If you want more info on both series, I'd be more than happy to enlighten!
Needless to say, I'm a hopeless addict to BOTH series. These two series are like my Harry Potter addiction (just a way to phrase that... I was not really that addicted to Harry Potter, but the rest of the world seems to be, so I assume you'd understand the intense draw and appeal wrapped up within the statement).

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
Thanks, Jubelon. I feel confident I can recommend them to customers now! It's rare that I get to rec something supernatural/paranormal, though.
Usually I have to hedge my bets with "safe" recs like Room, The Postmistress, The Paris Wife, The Help... and stuff like Unbroken, In the Garden of Beasts, At Home, Packing for Mars.
Although I always use the excuse of "oh, well, I've been reading a lot of nonfiction lately!" to cover the fact that I'd rather re-read all the Twilight novels than touch something like The Help.
That's being a bit dramatic I guess.
I'm like THIS CLOSE to finishing the Catch Trap! I can't wait. It's a real goddamn shame that book went sour on me so fast. :/

Hey, I can do even better.
I have not read so much as a single Harry Potter book. ;p
