Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
T-T I want Libriomancer in my life, too!! *sigh* We'll have to see how this paycheck fairs... I might risk purchasing it. Jim Hines is just so fucking witty in his other books and I love ALL of his characters ^_^ (that I've read so far). Uggg... can't wait to read....

^_^ Inkheart comes to mind, too. I didn't watch that anime.
Nah, Jim is famous for taking old tropes and stories and crafting a wonderful new story while at the same time picking fun at them. I think I want the book just as much for the humor of what I'm sure is inside as much as I am for the story (which, as you mentioned, isn't really all that revolutionary of an idea).
His book Goblin Quest is all about the near-sighted goblin when he gets captured by adventurers who are storming his mountain for treasure.
And his Princess series is stories like Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty.
The book wasn't so funny when it came to Sleeping Beauty, though. I can't believe the author went there....

I did not really like 1984. It made a number of conclusions that I don't agree with.
That said, I found double-think intriguing, so I'm glad I read it.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
She might mean "go insane and create a fan website about one of the hardest game series ever to be produced by Atlus and let me tell you that's saying something".
Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
I won't link back to it out of respect-
...
because it would take too long to find, but yeah pulling a Maxine is a thing.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
^_^;; That's not fair to Miri, who is new here and is obviously becoming regular.
*sigh* I think what both people are alluding to.... on my 25th birthday I got drunk for my first (and only) time. Like... bad drunk.
^_^;; and then I got on the computer at some point.......... lots of misspelling and funny statements.
<_<; Yeah... I think that's what these guys are referring to.
Oh and... yeah... I'm slow to realize that Kino is posting drunk tonight. It took me reading her Team Fortress rant in some other topic to catch on. (too late, Kino. You just pulled a "Maxine".)

D-don't know if want... ._."
Edit:
Well that wasn't so bad. At least you weren't apparently being spoken to by things that do not actually exist. (Yes, the guy who said the quote above was high as a kite.)

Noodles has never played Touhou? I could've sworn he is one of our major Touhou fans.

Re: Favorite Books and Current Reads
In my defense I was making a concentrated effort to fix my typos, and there were a LOT of them, as I went
