Actually... that trailer doesn't look half as korny as I thought it would. SERIOUSLY, after watching pieces of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and some new vampire mini-series they are coming out with "Blood something" -_- and seeing the cheesiness in that shit.... this actually... isn't so bad... BLEH don't get me wrong. I say "not so bad" but I'm still thinking "it's still fucking bad enough!"

Meh, that is the worst Edward they could have ever cast. I expected him to have more... muscles... and be more suave? That guy doesn't look like the type who would yell at Bella to talk to him about something random to stop him from wanting to rip a bunch of bastards apart. Meh, he doesn't even look like he has the urge to be over-dramatic. Bella needs to act more pathetic, though... maybe I'll like tv-version Bella better. LOL so maybe she should stay as is.

That being said, I'm NOT going to waste my money on tickets to see it..... not taking into account how much my little sister will beg, wheedle, and do my chores in order to persuade me. XD

Blood 'Something' is based on the Victory Nelsen vampire series which is written by Tanya Huff, one of my favorite authors. I'm a little less enamored with her as I was, but I still like her other series. I'm not a fan of the Blood novels (but the spinoff Shadow series starring a gay wizard-in-training by night, TV production assistant by day... those are awesome.)

Edward is being played by the same actor that did Cedric Diggory from HP4. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I never imagined Edward looked very muscley or big. He's from the Edwardian era, after all. I always imagined him... I dunno. Just different.
Softer, maybe? More boyish? Less... polished?

I recognize the Bella actress, but I don't know from where.

I'm sure the Blood series is great, but, when I saw the cuts and previews... I was, against, reminded strongly of Buffy the vampire. If it helps, I'm just not big on magic being "televised". Harry Potter, Narnia, Sci-Fi material... it just makes me want to laugh more than I want to think how kewl it is.

Muscley probably isn't the word I'm looking for (Jacob he is not). Not jock or anything, but more... filled out. Broader shoulders and all. The "boyish" part is right, but still... I imagine an Edward who looks like he can kick your ass but doesn't live up to his body potential because he is too 'boyish'. Have you ever watched Across the Universe? The character Jude is close to what I think of. () Him but still needs a few more muscles, but not so that he is filled out or anything.

I always imagined him as boyish and slender, with a slightly build that still contained power and force.


I'm sure the series is total crap. It's on the lifetime channel, Henry is bisexual, Tony isn't in it, and well, I can totally see it being a bad show.

The Hobbits were my favorite part of LotR, Merry and Pippin especially. They're just so... slashy. >_>

Gah. I forgot how much I hate Liv Tyler until just now. I don't get the obsession with elves -_- My friends in high school were all "OMG LEGOLAS" but all I could ever think about was how weird it looked that his eyebrows didn't match his hair.

It really bothered me.

I hated Legolas and I hate Orlando Bloom.

^_^; Don't get me started on that movie. I can go on for HOURS listing every thing that I hate about it. An old buddy of my MCLoZ forums once made a skit using the forum members. He depicted me as being so Anti-LotR that I was going around from person to person with plans for P.J.'s destruction and annihilation.... at which point they would get up and leave...

Yeah, fiance saw the movie at work (long story) and said it was like LotR/HP/Star Wars ripoff junk.

Yeah, he got published young, but that's because his parents published it for him. They quit their jobs and invested thousands of dollars into self-publishing. Then they drag him all over the area doing book signings/readings until he built enough buzz and Knopf picked up the rights.
His family used to live in a Doomsday cult. They fled to an isolated compound in Montana where Author and siblings were home schooled because of their parents fear of social contamination.
Soooo yeah. Weird stuff.

And that is why I never dig all that deep into author backgrounds. o_O;

I think the worst comment I remember is that the kid simply ripped off from Tolkien but was brazen enough to say "I never read Tolkien". So, this stuff is new to me.
