@Kahlan pronunciation: XD Kino, I pronounce it the same way!
@TV series:
No, I have no intention of ever watching it. I have the book with the movie-cover for WFR and looking at Kahlan... I hate the way the character looks to portray her. That's now how I envision Kahlan whatsoever. And movies always suck compared to the books. I have no hope. It's why I plan to NEVER NEVER allow a movie to be made of my movies. Though, honestly, for TLQ, I think I see it more as a cartoon ^_^ (anime or whatever). There's just things like my characters being trapped inside a glass ball spell with dragons tossing it between themselves and playing with it that just doesn't sound like it would translate well with real live characters. I mean real life physics suggests my characters would probably not be alive after such an exchange. XD
But seriously, movies/series/whatever are always forced to condense time and because they can't get into characters' heads the way a book can, there's a limit to what they can do. I've never been satisfied with the way a movie has turned out. FotR was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. So much effort put into it and it still just came out as absolute shit. >_<
But I'm really devastated that they wouldn't put Denna in the proper light. -_-;
... Seriously though, I'll probably watch an ep or two this weekend from that site just cause I'll be bored and curious.
@Quest of WFR:
Oh, like I said, don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVED the book and have no problem with the formula :3 but it just lacks originality because it's way over done.
I LOVED that scene, too. XD I could just imagine their faces drop in horror to see Scarlet land before them and have an "enemy" slide off the dragon and face them.
@Brother: I actually predicted it back at the beginning of the book. The first time it started explaining, even before the exchange he had with Kahlan I was like "Yeah, this guy is going to betray Richard in some way, some day."

It was still hard, though, reading about Richard feeling so hurt and betrayed.
@Current part I'm in the SoT:
T-T Richard and Kahlan.... broken. I absolutely wanted to cry when Kahlan forced him to put the collar on. To even use "my pet" on him. I felt the pain from both sides. Kahlan just wanting to die and the horror that must have been going through Richard.
:3 I think I particularly love this author 'cause he realizes that Richard should have been messed up from what happened to him. In most other stories, most authors would just "make him well" with only the occassional nightmare and all.
... The scene with the Sister of Dark being "raped" (well, maybe not right) by that underworld beast... that was a LOT too much for me. I felt like I was watching a bad hentai.

I think the scene completely failed. It's the only thing I have to knock.
Honestly, though, I think the biggest selling point of the whole series is just Richard himself. He's SO innocent and kind but, like the covers portray him, I just imagine him being this rugged sorta muscular guy. ^_^ The image just doesn't fit. I just really like Richard A LOT. XD Every time I imagine him clasped in the sword's anger, I can just imagine how fuggin' scary he must be! It's just funny 'cause usually I imagine characters like this (Aragorn for example) being very effeminate in appearance. Bishoujo, you know. Richard, though, I just CAN'T picture him that way. XD
