Still reading Stone of Tears.
:( I don't want Kahlan to know what has happened to her half-sister.
I SO loved Kahlan when she peered over the cliff at the soldier dangling there. I was yelling at her "Kahlan, you had better not be fucking stupid and actually help him up." XD And then she gives him that ultimatum. "Be touched by my power or die." I was glad that he killed himself. He doesn't deserve to be touched by Kahlan.

I wonder if I'm slowly coming to like Sister Verna. I was actually HAPPY when Richard found her still alive in that Valley. o_O;
<_< And I feel sad for her Jedidiah. .... >_< BUT I DON'T WANNA LIKE HER! She's such a bitch. .... *sigh*

And <3 for Gratch! :3

And *worries about Rachel and Chase* :( All it gave was them being in absolute bliss. Shit... they entered the valley, didn't they? >_< NOT MY PRECIOUS RACHEL!!
Oh shit... Kino... I went from being at half a book yesterday to suddenly looking at the last 200pgs of the book to go. -_-; NOOOOOO! I don't have the next book yet!

DAMMIT!
Prindin > fucking die two times over! >_< DAMMIT!! And I absolutely loved Prindin and Tossidin! *pouts* I'm so devestated.

@Kahlan and naked fighting: sheer gold. That's all there is to it. The whole fight scene was way intense but yet... there was just this humor to it throughout the whole thing.

And then Richard has finally arrived at the Palace or whatever.
@horses and disappearing harmful-bits: It's official. I LOVE Sister Verna now.
@Pasha: Remember our discussion about the cover of the book? And that just not looking like Verna. While I'm sure it's depicting Verna, I just can't help but wanting to think of that girl on the cover as being Pasha.

Anyways, I was so ready to not like the little twit. And a part of me still doesn't but...
XD RICHARD GETS MAJOR GUILT TRIP scene was waaaaay too good for me to not have some respect for her. ^_^ A mriswith can't take Richard down, but a crying girl can! XD

:3 I so love my Richard. ... I just hope Kahlan doesn't hear about all of these little women issues he's having. Between Du and Pasha, will Richard be able to manage to keep his pants on XD

>_< I hope he realizes that if he fails, it won't just be Kahlan that comes after his ass.
XD Too bad you don't live around me. I could just get you a free copy from work.
Hm, maybe it is Pasha! I'll have to go look at it again. Ugh. I hate Pasha XD

I didn't want to say anything about Verna, but, yeah. She's pretty cool by the end of the book ^^ I love her attitude of like "JESUS CHRIST RICHARD WTF THEY ARE GOING TO KILL ME"

Warren is like... OMFG love, btw. You've met him by now, right? o_o

Yeah, Prindin and Tossidin. Yeah. But, hey, there's still Chandalen! (sp, btw? did I get that right?) Mud People = WIN

Kahlan's fighting... delicious! Whose that soldier she has now, Orsk? I love love love whenever Kahlan uses her power.
Confessors:
I love that power. I appreciate Goodkind's powerful women, actually; both Mord-Sith and Confessors are exclusively female. Mord-Sith... I'm not sure a reason is ever given. I won't explore them too much since you're in book 2, but, yeah, they rock.

One touched by a Confessor is no longer that person, in a sense, so I understand why Kahlan feels the way that she does. She loathes using her power and understands what absolute control she has over them.
I have no idea when in the chronology Kahlan tells this story about her past. I want to say its within the first two books, but it might be a spoiler. It isn't anything related to the plot:
Early in her Confessor days, Kahlan touches someone for confession who has just a terrible list of crimes against children; very brutal.
He's like "Mistress, what is it you wish?"
And she's just sobbing and is all "I want you to die!"
And so, bam, there he goes. DEAD.

<3 Awesome.

Somewhere I have a copy of Wizard's First Rule that I really should pick up soon...

I'm currently reading... Deerskin, by Robin McKinley, The Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan, The Stepsister Scheme, by Jim C. Hines... I can't seem to stick with just one right now. I'm on a fairy tale re-telling kick, so I want to read Deerskin the most...

And I keep wanting to pick up my copy of ... just because. I haven't read it yet.

I'm starting to read Revolutionary Road. I saw the movie before and it makes sense; I doubt it would've have I not read it (or, well, less so).

VT - thanks for the link!! That's a really cool site. I especially liked the break-down of Dumbledore's speech in Japanese.

I'm bored at work and just idly started reading "Nickel and Dimed" by Barbara Ehrenreich. She's a journalist who worked nothing but low-paying jobs, no-skill jobs (ie; minimum wage) for two years in order to see what poverty is like at such levels. It's interesting, I guess, since I'm pretty much living that life right now. Of course, I'm still in school, but many of my friends who have their degrees or aren't in school are working 40hrs a week at less than $7-8 an hour... or they have two 40hr a week jobs (Since such jobs commonly forbid you from working over 40 hours, because then they have to give you overtime and benefits. I've seen my boss adjust people's hours to get them under 40, which is hella illegal)

Oh, and this reminds me of the TIME article I was reading earlier, about how Americans are cutting back during the Recession. All these bitches being like "Instead of going to Monaco on our vacation, we're going to Florida..." and people being like "I've started buying store brand groceries and I had to postpone buying a new car... Now I can only eat out twice a week instead of three times, and we had to cancel our satellite cable..." BITCH PLEASE. Who the fuck are these people? I read shit about the "average" American and its nothing like what I've experienced in my life.
