I can read very fast, but if it is any sort of fiction, it is being narrated and acted out in my head, and cool parts get read over and over again, maybe with me whispering it softly

I just polished off two Michael Crichton books.
Timeline - Awesome read. Great if you find quantum mechanics interesting.
Eaters of the Dead - Also excellent. Historical fiction.
Both book have great pacing that will keep you reading from start to finish.

It's the most widely reprinted science-fiction short story of all time, so it should be easy~
