Typically, you let it set for less than a minute and then just jump in the shower and let it rinse off / scrub it off (depending if yours came with a little pad or not). Rinse not "WATER MUST DIRECTLY HIT IT OH MY GOD" just for the record. It tingles a bit but nothing major really. Unless it's in a like super sensitive location.
Oh and it smells like complete fucking ass. If you've set some hair on fire before you'll know that smell anywhere.
I feel no shame in saying I've used Nair.
That said, I oldschool the beard shaving / trimming with an actual razor. The Nair was for elsewhere.
I don't understand why girls aren't using electric razors more. Why our solution to the shaving issue is MELT IT OR WAX IT rather than a nice easy electric razor. I've noticed most girl electric shavers are designed for areas other than our legs.
@Nair
Yeah, Maxine, I hear ya there. I've got thick, dark hair as well. Whenever it's long-skirts all the time weather I rarely shave (except when my fiance's complaints get to me), so that post-winter shave is always the worst. Try using just plain soap and water in the shower, rinsing the shaver after each swipe.
And, yes, Nair does smell like some terrible ass creation.

Christina says she secretly steals her boyfriend's electric razor to shave her legs 'cause she has such a problem with these cheap crappy razors - and she has fine blonde hair so you can imagine how aweful the crap is that I use.
It... will just be weird to go into the men's aisle to search for an electric razor... <_<;; I guess I could pretend that I have a boyfriend and that it's going to be his Xmas present.... .... ..................... just in case someone asks...
@Kino: Rinsing the shaver is the worst. I've cut my fingers so often because the hair just gets stuck in it and won't come out. -_-;
And naw, I have to use the shaving gel since it really does seem to make the process easier in some way. I dunno how, but it does.
And for after-winter-shaving, I just draw a hot tub of water and shave that way. Otherwise the water bill would be pretty high. *sigh* So time consuming...
