Then, let me see if I can summarize it in a better way (yes it is kinda cloudy).

Popotan anime was release 2003. People made gifs of the dance. Then in 2007 they started sticking the dance to a speedy version of the 2001 release of Carmelldansen.

I believe that's right. But, like noodles, I remember seeing the dancers BEFORE I started seeing them put to the song.

Popotan has nothing to do with Caramelldansen.

Anyway, I really don't remember this at all and I used to practically live on that hellhole. Maybe I just forgot about it until the silly .gifs or something.

Or maybe I've already sold my soul to the song and am stuck in an eternal loop of it slowly killing me.

Edit: Oh ... that part. Yeah >> Gotcha. The .gifs of it (to the song) are more recent. I don't really remember the song until recently. I need to check my old 4chan image folder to see if I have anything to make me feel dumb.

Well, i think when youtube was created they weren't expecting the videos that would be hosted to be in the need of high quality production. ^_^;

But I'm glad they added in that feature, too.
